Hi
Why don't you join the weekly spend challenge, you tell them how much you want to spend on sundries and keep a tally. It really makes you think about stupid purchases. I spent £5 on jars for the batch of chutney I made yesterday, turns out I didn't need to buy any jars as I had enough, I should have bottled it first and then bought jars if I needed to. I know why I bought them, I thought they'd look lovely in the hampers I'm planning on making for some of my family but a recycled jar of home made chutney, decorated and labeled nicely will be as appreciated as a nice looking jar decorated and labeled nicely!0 -
Thanks misspoppy for that, i have been to look for it but cant seem to find it, can anyone point me n the right direction please

Well her I am its Thursday and still have not spent all of my £4 (very little left though), which was all i had for this week and next. A NSD for me today, all i needed was milk for today and i have brought that from work this morning (been on night-shift) I did ask as we had an excess amount of it. If I can get through 5 days on £4, I will be able to make fab savings on my food and sudries bill in the future. Its just amazing how being short of money makes you realize how much money you have wasted in the past. in all honesty i cant say we have done without anything realy. I have just been thinking, do i need or want this, what can i do to replace it or use something else instead of etc.
I think i can raise £30 if I put my digital camera in to pawn until i get paid. If this is possible, that will well see me until pay day next thursday.
I am very gratefull for all the help on this forum and hope I can pass on my tips too as i progress. Thankyou all once again, you have all been fab. Even reading other peoples posts, gives me hope and support and ideas on how to deal with my debt and overspending issues.

I'm right into this cutting back thing. Today so far i have
halfed my soap powder tablet fot two washes, washing came out just as clean
added water and smelly to my general cleaner spray, now have 2 bottles insted of one, cleaned just as well too
Had everything out of my store cupboard and found everything to make crumble ( i would have bought crumble mix) with and rubarb from our allotment
On my housework travels, found 65p in a drawer
this is sooooo theraputic.
Are you able to change your username, as I no longer feel "lossed"Back tracked and taking the other fork in the road, it has to lead to a better place than the other one did0
