it's good you've planned things for managing more longer term....

and it's brill that you have a surplus at least on paper... i remember when i started this DFW journey i used to look at my incomings and my outgoings and needed to decide who i was not gonna pay each month as i just didn't have enough... now i have a surplus on paper but do still have month left over when the money runs out but i am trying... hence i am still here!!!

Keep up the good work babes!

    Hi

Standing orders are controlled by you, you tell the bank how much to pay and when and the recipient has no control over it, no excuse get the standing order set up :-)

Hiya, im not banking on there being a surplus. I have over spending issues and its going to be real hard for me not too overspend. But I am going to try real hard. i have lots and lots of spare time on my hands, so im looking for new things to do, mend, recycle, earn etc. I am truly thankful to people not passing me by and popping in with helpful suggestions. I love this site. there will be many months especialy coming up to after xmas when bank will be zero or overdrawn, but im ready to deal with it.

Good Luck on your Jouney to debt freedom

Todays spend on food 48p that was for flour. I didnt tell you all, we have two alloments and grow our own veg. i got a recipie off the frugal thread for leak and potatoe soup, got the veg from the alloment all i need do is make the dumplings, hence the flour, found suet in back of fridge.

I am sooo happy to be on this site, with all you wonderful people:A all of you.

I was so down yesterday morning and now i'm looking around at everything for a way to cut it out or cut it down. I know it is going to take me a while to get out of this mess but i'm much more optimistic about it all now.

    Many thanks

I MUST work on or all my plans will go to the wall. when I think of the money i have wasted I could screeeeam, buts thats in the past, no good looking back. I have also got a little notebook and downloaded a brill free program to track you spending, u can put in all your own catogories in and everything it brilliant.

Hi there - just a thought - have you looked at maybe reclaiming your bank charges? It's a lot to get your head round but if you have time, well worth doing.....
Also the usual online surveys, quidco, scratchcard clicks etc.... PM me if you want, I might be able to think of other things to help.

The rent lady telephoned me today, ive been dreading it coming. I saw the number on caller display, i thought go for it. So i answered and WOW she was fab, i explained the situation and she said i could catch up when i get paid AND if at any time in the future i was unable to pay and was going to double up would i let her know, so that she was kept updated. I'm sooooo happy today, what a difference some sound advice and 24hrs and being honest can do.

    Thankyou
