Hi I know we are not allowed to sell or similar, Don't worry I am not. I do have a Friend Christine who is selling things on Ebay until her Website is ready, Would you like me to ask her for a discount for you all? This to experienced members..."would I be in trouble for doing this?" I do not get anything for doing this apart from helping her sell more and us lot some money saved. I do not even know if she will but I can only ask.:money:
Do you know if your friend is likely to go up to higher sizes? The dresses are lovely, but no good for me...
(but won't stop other people from enjoying a discount...:))0 -

it seems that al the various sites' stock is synchronised, so they all have the same size availability (with JD williams sometimes you can find the same thing under a different code)
(what is the point of having so may websites selling the same stuff... ?)0 -

I wondered that! Its silly how they have it all set out.. Would save them money by having them all on one website! Oh well, thanks anywayx

I suspect that the JD Williams sites are aimed at different customers in terms of age group and marketed in such a way to appeal to what they perceive is the target audience for that site e.g. FashionWorld is aimed at a different customer group to FiftyPlus. I don't think they perhaps count on those of us who leapfrog across their sites (always a good idea to start with this one: http://www.homeshoppingdirect.com/shop/ as it has most if not all of the sites listed on the front page) I think there are often clothes that different age groups might wear which is why some turn up on more than one site. I suspect that if everything was condensed into one website some customers might think "oh this isn't the website for me, the clothes look too young/old etc" and go elsewhere, so by having separate websites they are increasing their customer base.
Simply Be and some of the sister sites have been a godsend while I have been losing weight (and continue to do so) Being a good MSEer I never pay full price for anything, so the sale sections on some of their websites have been invaluable for nice clothes at a fraction of their original price, which when I have got too small for them can be sold on eBay, thus getting some of my original money back, which I can then spend on the next lot of clothes
It is worth being savvy with these sites. FashionWorld for example have a sliding scale pricewise for clothes i.e. someone who is a size 20 will pay less than someone who is a size 30. Simply Be have one price which tends to fall somewhere in the middle, so depending on your size it can be worth double checking FashionWorld/SimplyBe to see which site has the better price for you.
As I suspect I have mentioned previously on this thread (so sorry if I am repeating myself) it is also worth putting "Sale" in the search box, this brings up lots of results which don't always appear in the normal "Clearance/Sale" pages.
And before anyone asks, no I don't work for them, I work in a museum, I just like a bargain :rotfl:DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -

*Goes and sits on the naughty step*
*Edited to add* Completely unrelated to Simply Be, but I just remembered something I had meant to share with you all previously. You have probably all spotted this for yourselves, but if you see a nice pair of earrings in Evans and there is a Dorothy Perkins/big Boots nearby, do have a look in DP/Boots as their jewellery is produced by the same company as Evans, but is usually £1 or more cheaper. I can kind of understand a necklace or bracelet costing a little bit more in Evans if it is bigger than the same design in DP/Boots, but the earrings are usually the same size, so a bit unfair to charge more for them IMHO!DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0
