Thanks for this thread OP, and everyone who has posted here. I for one have always kept away from Next as I thought they didn't 'do' larger sizes. I will be 'hitting' the shops next week for a new wardrobe for the winter so Next will be top of my list. There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
Alto... before you get too excited, I don't think you'll find Next Plus collection in the shops, I have checked a few and did not find it, including Oxford St.
Maybe someone else knows different?0 -
I have bought clothes for my OH online at Big Matt's. They carry a wide range of clothes for men up to 8XL and 23" collar. They also have a retail shop in Poole (although I've never visited as it is too far away). They have some great bargains at sale time too!

thank you for providing the link, I've added it to the list.
PS anyone who can't post a link, if they include the full web address I can copy and paste as a link on the list0 -
Hi all, Joe Browns do some great stuff for younger people in plus sizes http://www.newnow.co.uk/shop/page?pageId=3065
Think its part of simply be, but ive found them great for my other half (being xxl) as we struggle to find him young looking clothes in his size. Not the cheapest but then ive always found most of these plus size companies never are!
Their sales tend to be quite good too, last year for xmas bought him 4 really nice tshirts and a belt for £25!10k in 2010 - £350.77 :beer:0 -
Fantastic thread! Thank you.
It might be helpful if posters can give examples (as some have already done,) of items and prices. Also, an indication of the general style of each retailer might be useful.
I found some real money-saving bargains earlier this year at Bargain Crazy (Littlewoods). I found some bootcut blue jeans, size 24+, that appeared to be excellent quality... £3.99. I sent for a pair and a code got me free delivery. They were brilliant - great fit, really strong stretch denim, well made etc. What a bargain! A week later, I was so impressed after wearing and washing them, that I thought I'd see if they had any left... yep, my size, in blue and black. I got another 2 blue and a black pair + a code for 10% off, which saved me some of the £3.95 delivery. Reeeeesult!Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

Thanks for providing this list. I hate it when i find shops don't go up to my size (22 in bottoms and 24 in tops) and very rarely go clothes shopping any more as there is next to no choice of clothes suitable for a younger lady (i'm 22 yo).
Does anyone know of any shops that sell reasonably priced plus sized maternity clothes and nursing bras (i can only find bras in my size from the triumph range) for a reasonable price (under 20 pounds) ?Married since 28/04/2007

I dont know how to include part of someone else's message in my own message but to the person who wasnt sure if she was plus size or not. When I was a size 16 I thought I was still an ok size but when I moved up to 18 I decided I was definitely a plus!0

Mothercare do bras for woment with bigger busts, it's where I got mine from (I'm a 38FF).
This one goes up to a 40G and is £15, they do it in white too http://www.mothercare.com/M2b-T-shirt-Nursing-Bra-Fuller/dp/B002HEAR6E/sr=1-7/qid=1254910355/ref=sr_1_7/280-6563226-0735001?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44321031&mcb=core
Not sure about maternity clothing in larger sizes, I'm a size 20 so could get into Mothercare stuff. However, it annoyed me that the UKs most well-known pregnancy/baby shop stopped their clothes at a size 20 - you'd think that they would cater for bigger ladies who are pregnant. I think they're missing laods of sales by not doing this!
Good luck with your pregnancy :j

Hi
Thanks, great thread for us 'slightly' larger ladies (its all in the mind & the extra cream cake - that I just cant resist - not helped by my OH who is 2 stone wet through & can eat anything he wants, fed up of watching him stuff his face, whilst I am on yet another diet!)
Personally have found Bon Prix mail order to be really quite good, very reasonably priced, quality can be a bit mixed, but do do some sizes up to size 30. Can really recommend the bras as some have the wider comfy straps and aren't granny style, and very good value.

Once again this web site comes up trumps!0
