I have the slimming leggings from Primark (think they are already mentioned in this thread), & they are cheap & work & fit a size bigger.
Anyway dresses how about http://www.bonmarche.co.uk/3-7-dresses/4966-knot-front-tulip-dress/7-black it is a stretch jersey, but they normally use good quality fabrics, & I like the sleeves & neckline, would look great with bright accessories.
http://www.bonmarche.co.uk/3-7-dresses/5396-palm-leaf-print-jersey-dress/7-black is lovely, but if you don't have a store locally unfortunately they've only got size 14 left on the website.
http://www.bonmarche.co.uk/3-7-dresses/5855-david-emanuel-electrographic-dress/57-orange or http://www.bonmarche.co.uk/3-7-dresses/5477-david-emanuel-leopard-print-3-4-sleeve-dress/17-brown I'm not sure how well these would hang to be honest, you'd really need to try them on (pity they don't show them on a model).A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Just to add I just noticed that http://www.bonmarche.co.uk have a plus size collection in sizes 26-32 http://www.bonmarche.co.uk/129-220-plus-size I've bought thier larger sizes 22-24 in store and while they have some clothes that would suit your great granny they also have things that some of us younger ladies like too, they really do cover a lot of styles & ages (and on a tangent they also do lovely swimsuits).A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

Thanks Kits for trying to help
I really like the second one, the warm colours appeal, and I'm told they suit me. I will ring around BM stores and see if any are left, but more summer, so not too hopeful. The last one is possible, great reviews, may be too short for me.
The "spanx" type pants I have are so firm, they don't feel comfortable so I never wear them. I'll have a look at primark and the others mentioned, at least they're not too expensive.
Meanwhile I'm cutting down a bit calorie wise, if I can lose even half a stone it will be a help.0 -

It's a great time to shop at Evans, they have 10-30% off on a lot of stuff + 20% off and free delivery codes here:

Does anyone have a good source of reasonably priced tights for larger sizes?
I wear black opaques a lot in winter, had some really good maternity ones (no baby but I have a "bump", LOL!) that were smart & comfy, but need replacing. The last 'XL' pair I bought were really tight & uncomfortable around the waist, so any suggestions?0 -
Ive used this site before.
http://shop.feminineplus.com/collections/cat-tights
They delivery v quickly, prices are quite reasonable for opaques compared to Evans etc

Thanks for that terra firma, very helpful. I was going to wait a bit before trying to find my long dress for mid November, but have taken advantage of the offer and ordered 5 dresses (got 2 sizes on some just in case) so fingers crossed one will be ok. At £20 each can't believe they will be any good, but may be lucky.0 -

I buy mine from ebay, don't normally wear them but every now and again I fancy something different. I got some exactly with the same picture of your avatar, believe it or not, for a themed party!
And I couldn't believe it when I found some Halloween tights in my size, 26/28. Now just waiting to be invited to the right kind of party to buy them, as I might get funny looks walking around with tights with skulls on them....0 -
Looking for a plain black long length(just below hips) waterproof winter weight jacket with a hood for work. Don't want lots of pockets or fur trims. Used to buy Rosetti ones but can't seem to find them now. Marks had one I liked but it was quite expensive. Would like it to look smart. Any help appreciated. Always find it difficult to get jackets that don't cost a fortune.0
