For generously sized, good quality knitwear in many delightful colours, try my latest find, www.woolovers.com
I just received my first order today and I'm beyond delighted! Have already placed a second order for my hubby.

Some of their sizes are generous (although hit and miss as my OH bought two identical jumper in different colours and sizes were very different), but they don't do plus sizes, they only go up to 18/20, not much use to me and other of larger sizes :(

You're right, they aren't specifying plus size, but their regular sizes, especially in the unisex styles, are incredibly generous!

My husband is 6'4" and hefty with it, arms like an ape. I ordered him the Hill Walker jumper in XL but it absolutely drowned him and had to send it back for an L - now that's a first!

I'm a size 18 (significant weight loss recently) and ordered myself a couple of V necks in the unisex V neck style, size L, and they are also far too big for me, but I like them this way so I'm keeping them for 'sloppy joe' weekend wear. They'd definitely still have been a comfortable fit for me when I was 3 sizes larger. For a more normal fit I'd easily get away with the M now, and as they go up to XL I think some plus sizers will easily find something to fit.

The website has very good sizing information for each item and will tell you if a style is particularly generously cut. Also the reviews were very helpful in this respect. I was just thrilled to find such a fabulous spectrum of colours to choose from, and the quality is impressive - as are the prices (sale on at the moment, my V necks were only £19 each).

I know you are very helpful on this thread, and I've come across a bit abrupt, it was directed more to them than yourself.
When I bought jumpers from them, for other people, I was really disappointed that they didn't do large sizes. Some of the V neck were generous, particularly waist and hip, but not all.
The 3 unisex v neck I bought (2 identical except colour) went from true to size to a couple of sizes wider, I think it's a matter of luck. I followed their size chart, but sizing was all over the place (the first I bought following the chart, even taking measurements, had to go back).

But you are right, they are lovely jumpers, good quality. I think it would be fair to say it's worth trying them, but don't be too disappointed if they don't fit.

BTW Well done for your weight loss :T

I've now received two deliveries from Wool Overs and I have to say they have instantly become my favourite online company! The quality and price of these jumpers is frankly unbelievable, and I have already placed a 3rd order :o. The Aran sweaters are a particularly good deal at £32 in the sale, and there's a code for free delivery on all orders until 6th Feb - enter VLAC in the offers box at checkout. Hope this helps someone.
The Medium is perfect for me and giant sized husband is ridiculously happy to be wearing the Large! (I don't think he has been in a Large since he was about 10 :rotfl:)

Jacamo is a goo site for lager mens clothing.

I have found Ellos do some nice things for women in a few larger sizes and with offer code 4899 you can get 30% off and Free Del which is great for smaller orders or if you are happy to pay postage nab yourself the 4914 offer code which offers discount and a free throw

I know some of you complained about Evans, but they have a sale going on up to 70% if anyone finds this helpful. I also like that one can shop by size.

we complain but we end up buying from there anyway (at least I do, complain all the time, but then can't resist the sales + 20% discount they do every now and again :D)

free returns help because you can always send back :)

My Lands End purchases arrived today and I'm really pleased with them. I'm quite tall and it's unusual to find crop trousers that are a decent length - they look silly if they end just below your knees! The ones from Lands End have a 24" inside leg and they are perfect.

My sister bought quite a bit of stuff with the free postage offer, and when she got it yesterday some of it came with the labels cut off.

AFAK it's against trade descriptions act, how odd. It never happened to me, she bought some stuff for me but mine was ok.

Has this happened to anyone else?
