Had a busy day yesterday. My mum drove me up to Shrewsbury to visit the QVC outlet. Definately worth the trip for us! I bought a pair of pjs, a nightie, floaty beach cover up top and a lovely soft cream cardigan. Total cost under £22!!! Mum also bought me a fantastic suede jacket for £16. That's my Christmas present though...

Afterwards we tried to find the Littlewoods clearance shop in Newtown, but although we found Old Kerry Rd, we didn't find the shop. Has anyone here been to it? Any tips on how to find the place?!?

Has anyone managed to find 'proper' jeans in a size 26+ - by proper I mean actual thick jeans material not the lightweight material that places like Evans make their jeans out of.
I bought jeans a few years ago from TKMaxx that were a brand called Revolution but I've never seen plus sized jeans in there since.
  • I am looking for proper denim jeans as well, new look jeans just arent cutting it anymore, they rub really quickly at the thighs and the elastic soon wears out, plus there is only 2 new look shops that do plus sizes and they are on opposite ends of london to me! its really hard to find in fashion plus size clothes that are affordable ;( i want to look like everyone else just not at triple the cost!

The NE and Cumbria chain of shops I mentioned, X Catalogue Stores, does them, they sell off ex-catalogue goods from the JD Williams group. I've seen jeans in quality denim in sizes from 20 - 38. I've also bought some myself (Joe Bloggs, size 18) for a fraction of the usual cost.
If you buy directly from JD Williams you will be paying a lot more, but no more than Evans, for example. (I never go in there, though... )

Very/Littlewoods made jeans up to size 28, I don't wear jeans much, I don't know if they are the type you mean, although they seem fairly heavy and thick to me. And you can return them for free if they are not.

Marks and Spencer now have a proper section for plus size.
    BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A sea of black, uninspiring, uniform [STRIKE]bags of potatoes[/STRIKE] clothes.

With perhaps a couple of exceptions, here's one:
    http://www.marksandspencer.com/Plus-Scoop-Ombre-Print-Dress/dp/B005FU006O?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_3&nodeId=928370031&sr=1-3&qid=1320178779&pf_rd_r=1P7H17K2MRHFP544KCPP&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=927886031&pf_rd_p=215570647&pf_rd_s=related-items-3
(in fact size 28 is already out of stock).

Will M&S ever ever get plus sizes right? Or will they keep going their self-fulfilling prophecy that plus sizes don't sell?

I can tell you - Old Kerry Road. Huge red brick building covered in scaffolding at the moment (Poundstretcher) & opposite railway station. Free Car Park behind building, go in the back entrance & Littlewoods Clearance is in the basement :)

    :T Isn't QVC brilliant :D
