Watching Queen Victoria has turned into a full time stressful job. It is being done in shifts. OH's shift lasted 5 minutes when he screamed she is half way out the catflap - and why was she by the catflap?!!!!
She won't wear her collar, she won't let me cover the stitches - this is a nightmare I am so stressed and then I think of poor mudders and it is her child who is ill!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Been at work all day so didn't get started until after Dinner this evening......but I am pleased to report the following all done:

I hope everyone has had a good day, and that those who have had stresses manage to get a bit of respite this evening xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
:T:TMiss Higgerty that was so brave, tackling wild spiders! It sounds quite claustrophobic too getting into the inglenook and up the chimney. I have logs and coal and sometimes see quite a large spider strolling along...
Thanks Toots, any encouragement is very welcome!:D
Holly it is their loss, I am sure there is something better for you just round the corner.
Well, first day was interesting, spent lots of time dealing with emails I did not have time for last week, phone mortgage company and answering questions re job seekers allowance. Another steep learning curve. Anyway, spent two hours sorting papers. Also tried to clear hall and stairs. Reasonably successful but not finished yet - can't even say Level 1 but this is just day 1 so will continue with that tomorrow. Have done dailies and hoovering downstairs.
Will go & watch a bit of telly in a mo - will see you all tomorrow.

Carlsberggal - sorry to hear about your DD's friend, such sad news. Lots of hugs to you and your family.
Dusty - I hope Queen Victoria calms down soon, poor thing.
Pooh - I could have collected it and posted it to you maybe? I should really find out where the town hall is. I have a feeling it's near the central library...
Can we have a flylady round of applause please for Manchester City Council? I got a leaflet today in my postbox - they are eventually giving us recycling bins for the appartements! Paper ones and plastic ones - how exciting! :T:T:T

Hmph. Made porridge for myself for the first time today, followed the instructions for amounts, thought 'hmm that looks like a lot' but continued. I now have MOUNTAINS of porridge to eat. I'll be using half the amount tomorrow.
You could try the recipe I use: 2oz porridge oats and 200ml milk (I use skimmed). 3 minutes in the microwave and a dollop of something to sweeten (eg jam/honey/syrup). I used to buy the stuff in sachets, but this is almost as quick and easy, and much cheaper.0
