acrivastine VERY RARELY causes drowsyness......are you sure you're not just worn out :rotfl: that said, when has soappie ever followed the rules
oddball :rotfl: If it's the PLUS that also has in pseudophedrine (sp) which again is non drowsy but if something you haven't taken before (and you were fine with plain acrivastine) might be the reason
Actually all that said, just go to bed woman sleep is good for you :rotfl:
Right wm on number 3, 2 lots in dryer and kids tea in....looks like a miserable micro meal for me (fish pie bought on offer agesssss ago) as trying to clear my one lonely small (well ok not so small but smaller than 2!) freezer for Christmas.....and save cash.
msgnomey you could unpack a few boxes here if you like, there is plenty to choose from....One day I might be more organised...........

Yes I am the oddball exception that proves the ruleI was OK until about an hour after I took the tab then I could have just nodded off - I still feel like that and yes, I'll have an early night.
The good news is that the eyes are a lot less itchy and gungy today (I've also been bathing them in optrex) and the swelling has gone down but is still there and apparent in one eye in particular. I'm wondering if it were more a reaction to something I picked up on my hands when mucking out the cupboard under the stairs and then transferred to my eyes by rubbing them.
It'd better be better tomorrow - I look even uglier than normal!

DH and I are beginning to feel more human again. We are having another lazy day and hope to be able to get on and do things tomorrow.
Rose toots and everyone else who asked, DHs depresion is lifting a bit more. The virus didn't help but I noticed he is a bit more perky today.
He has used the light box which arrived on Wednesday and he thinks it is working already. Hopefully he can go back to working on our barn conversion. There is loads to do there but he hasn't done anything for months.
Soappie, does it really matter if the meds make you feel a bit drowsy? It's Sunday, you've got no work tomorrow, and the meds will make your eyes better. Have some rest, your body probably needs it to clear up that horrible eye problem you have got.
Wilf, how great that your son was on the news! I’ve saved it to watch later when DH isn’t watching the TV
Hugs Sexymouse, it sounds really stressful. At least your colleagues obviously like you and want to help you. It’s so awful when your boss doesn’t like you, it makes everything really awkward. Valli’s advice is really good. Have you talked to your Head about it?
LG, I wouldn’t have a rug in the kitchen – if you really have to have one, make sure it is machine washable! It does sound like a trip hazard tho
Congratulations to Miss A for winning the swimming race!
Mummyoffive sorry to hear your ulcers are so bad, that sounds really painful. Hope your DS’s excema gets a bit better soon
Rosieben, big hugs, hope things improve with elderly relative xx
I'm feeling really muzzy headed this evening - I really need to start using my light box tomorrow as i feel like I'm headed for a depression. Have been trying to ignore it and keep busy but need to take some action too."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Going to do some walking and then some knitting. I need to get off the laptop, it's not helping. See you on the new thread xx"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

For what it's worth, I'd never have carpet in the kitchen. First of all, I'm too much of a messy worker. Also, the back door opens into the kitchen and when the kids come in wet and mucky, at least I know it can be cleaned up easily. A friend of mine has a long rug, and she is always worried that my DS2 will trip over it. Hope this helps.0 -

Evening all,
Have had a nice evening as I finally finished marking the writing assessments at around 4pm and went to visit ex-neighbours who I haven't seen for 3 months as I've been so busy. Had a cup of tea and a chat with elderly ex-neighbour and then went upstairs to young neighbour and had cuddles with her baby too - think she was relieved to have someone to moan to as well as her husband and her have been arguing a lot because of the lack of sleep with the baby and her thinking he's not doing enough housework etc. Baby has grown so much in the last 3 months! Think she'll be crawling soon by the looks of her.
Re talking to the head - unfortunately deputy and head came as a package together from another school and are like an old married couple, so talking to head wouldn't help. The NQT in my year-group benefitted from my feedback though as we helped her to plan her observation which was on Friday, and she got a satisfactory, which she is happy with. The union I'm with is the NUT. Unfortunately their telephone hours seem to be Mon-Fri 9-5, so I never get a chance to ring them. There is a named contact who is part of the NQT programme in my LEA who I could email, so I may email her. Induction lady on the course I went on is aware of the problems at my school and recommended that we all think about whether we want to stay at the end of our contracts. I know I definitely don't want to, but the summer is an awfully long way away still. On a positive note though, the nightmare boy in my class has been excluded for the whole of next week, so one less thing to worry about.
Off to quickly type up a worksheet for maths tomorrow and then change the sheets in the bedroom whilst watching X Factor. Then it'll be dinner when OH gets home (tortellini with pesto as it's quick and easy).
Hugs to all who need or want them.
