Today I found a second hand clothing stall on a market and got my dream coat - slightly military, furry (kind of astrakan) and with a full skirt, the coat I've been searching for for years! All coats were £10 so I'd have been silly to resist the Next soft fake fur zip-up hooded jacket for everyday as well! I also got some 100% wool jumpers for the next cardi-coat I'm going to make for £1.99 each. I found a really cute enamel black cat brooch with green jewel eyes for £3 in a charity shop, I'm not big on brooches but I love this one. I'll have to get my fancy-pants new camera to work and try to upload some pics, or perhaps just link them as I'm pretty incompetent!

Yesterday I finally got a chance to pop into a charity shop we always drive past when we dont have time to stop! I bought this vintage (gladstone style?) bag for £2.
  • Gorgeous bag, NYC. I love it!

I've had some great eBay bargains over the last week. Got a pair of BN leather high heeled brogues for £5.50, a gold sequin waistcoat for £7 and a cropped faux fur jacket for £5!
  • I know it's not car boot, charity shop, or jumble sale, but I'm pleased with it so I'll stick it here. :) Vertbaudet childs bedside cabinet for my daughter - £1.70 from ebay. Wee bit faded but absolutely solid and will look great after a sand and a paint. :)

I got some music from a charity sale the lady asked me for £1 for the lot, and it filled a carrier bag so i was delighted! When i was sorting it out, i noticed a Beatles book, it was printed in 1969 is in mint condition and is a collectable, i won't be selling it though! I also picked up 3 retro cartoons on DVD (think Rainbow Bright!) and a couple of books for me and DS :) Perfect for a cold afternoon in! :)

    Nice bag, NYC!

eBay bargains count, too. Now Goofbay's up and running again I've won a stunning vintage maxi dress (99p) and BF's got himself a VW restoration project for £300.

A lovely bright morning here today meant the car boot sale was up and running. I picked up two horse brasses and a leather bridle for £2 (details on my blog) plus a fallow deer pelt for £2 - which one of our cats absolutely loves and has been lazing around on since we got back. Found 4 kitsch tea towels (1950's souveniers) and two linen tablecloths with the labels still attached - £2 for the lot.
BF picked up some cool plimsols for 50p and a vintage oil can for £2.

I'm now frantically checking the local newspaper's classifieds for weekend jumble sales as the weather forecast doesn't look promising for the weekend.

Ooh goanmad - I LOVE what you've done with the horse brasses! I might have a go at that myself, I wonder if it would work choker length? I'm all about choker length but it would probably look ridiculous.

It'll look great - like one of those statement collars that cost a fortune. Horse brasses are just sooo cheap, lots on eBay at the moment! xx
