    that's harsh, almost unpleasant

can't tell your sex from the post, but either way, asking not to be taken for granted a fairly basic right

asking for childcare not to be considered "nothing" hardly unduly demanding

maybe OP's husband has your attitude viper, and everyone else will fully understand her pain

Totally agree, that was unnecessary viper.

I am sooo angry at him, and a bit drunk at the moment , I don`t really want to get depressed, I have been there before, no thanks, but heading that way pretty fast.
Your anger stands in the way of this ever having a constructive outcome. And lay off the drink while you are in this sort of mood. It might ease the pain of the moment, but the price will be to store up terrible problems for you and your kids.

Sorry, I have very little constructive to say, but to sort this out, you have to start with yourself. Hard medicine.

Oh for goodness sake! She's entitled to a drink, whatever mood she's in and how will it store up terrible problems for her kids? Its a Saturday night!

Pinkpong, sorry to hear that you are so unhappy in your marriage, unfortunately some men still have the old fashioned attitude that they only have to bring the money in and do nothing else in the marriage. Ultimately he is losing out in not spending much time with his children. I think it would really help you to get a job, not just to earn money, also it might help you to meet new people. Also would like to ask if you have thought about doing some sort of study at college, again would increase your chances of employment and possibly to make new friends. You don't say how old your children are but you will gain more independence as they grow up. perhaps you could do something you enjoy doing as a hobby.

Foul mood [justifiable or not] and drink do not go together. Saturday night makes no difference to that. Not 1 iota. If it is any consolation, I am only taking that line, because I am taking her problem to be serious. If I felt it was justified to say 'there there, go to bed, you'll be fine in the morning', I would not see the drink as an issue. But in this case pinkpong has to fight her way out of this, not sink into a depression hidden behind an alcoholic haze.

She is not in a foul mood, she is upset and seeking constructive advice. She will fight her way out of it when she is sober, probably tomorrow as soon as she has to face this man.

you dont understand this persons pain? shame on you! she is treated as a slave and all you can do is abuse her?
hun, be sneaky, you want an hour or two in bath? just tell hubby you want to make yourself georgous for him. you want your kids to see grandparents on his side? just send them off - tell hubby the kids want to see grandma and grandpa? whats the prob?
also - make life easier by doing two meals in one - and leave one in fridge for tomorow - just change the taste and accompaniments.
i dont mean to be racist - but are you asian or european? without a mum or family here? to help you cope?
its difficult if you are used to extended family life to cope on your own - feel free to PM me hun will help if i can

I'm assuming that is directed to me. If I didn't see the pain, I would not have picked up on the bad synergy with alcohol. If you think it is abuse on my part, what would you do? tell her to have another glass. now that would be abuse.
