Out of curiosity how many people would ring or have rung the police or crimestoppers to report someone clearly drunk who you believe will drive?

Whilst I dont agree with drink driving the OP seems to have made twitching their curtains and reporting any and everyone they see leave a pub.

You don't get disqualified under the new drivers act.

You licence gets revoked, you can apply for a provisional and take a test straight away.

If you get disqualified, you are disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence.
Yup, that's what I meant. Like I said in my previous sentence

bad choice of word in haste in that sentence.

Not as empty as the person left in a coma by a drink driver.

Say he knocks over and kills a person or a child.Could you live with the fact that YOU had the chance to have him banned and hence not in a position to have killed someone???....

I just don't get some peoples attitude,in a small way you would be to blame too.

Its shocking how we as a society stand by a watch these things happen and yet I bet you'd be the first one to be shouting if it was your child/grand child............

My brother-in-law is a paramedic and has to clean up the aftermarth of drunk drivers. Why not pop down to your local hospital and ask to go out with them(they do take jo public out, just sign a disclaimer) and if your very lucky you WONT be called to a RTC where some tw@ts been drinking and killed some poor innocent soul..........

Shocking really......... I respect anyone who has BALLS and dobs drink drivers in,they are one up from pond life....

im not to blame, not even the tiniest little bit im afraid, and yes i could live with myself.

im not responsible for others actions,im responsible for my own. and im certainly not responsible for handing out justice either. if they get caught then they get caught,if not then thats thier good fortune i suppose.

its all ifs and buts.
i prefer to let things run thier course.

So if an old lady was being mugged in the street you would turn around and walk the other way...Im alright Jack, just walk on by......shame on you...

Lets just hope its not a member of your family that gets killed eh...

One last thing Goldspanners "Ifs and buts " can happen...

thats a bit different.

if something like that arises then i would deal with it the best way i could at the time.

but seeing someone with a few pints drive a car then i wont be going to try and stop them driving and i wont be lifting the phone to the police either.
