Hey everyone, i've been reading (or lurking!) this thread for couple of weeks now, I followed the first post and decided to sign up to any of the firms that I could, ended up being about 4, still waiting to hear from some others. Anyway as I carried out my first assignment yesterday I thought its about time I posted! It was a bank visit, enquiring about current accounts and went quite well, and reporting back wasn't too much hassle either, assuming its passed quality control...

Got a fast food visit lined up for Sat, and I think I'm going to quite enjoy this MS'ing lark!

Also, well done to everyone who has contributed to a great thread!
Good to hear you had a positive first shop, well done on taking the plunge and posting too. Expect to acquire an encyclopaedic knowledge of current accounts, phone contracts and fast food!

Has anyone done the recent stamp shops? I had a fun day yesterday asking about my problematic tax disc. The first place were very concerned and I had to say that I hadn't bought it from them as they would otherwise have had a major enquiry I think but the second one said it was 'not end o't world' and to change it myself in black pen! Not sure that was necessarily the correct response.

It shouldn't RE don't seem to have a problem with negative reports unlike another company. I've put in a fair few ngatiive reports over the years.
I've always had loads of queries on negative reports from RE. At least 1 if not 2 phone calls querying / denying every single negative point. Good to hear this hasn't been everyone's experience with them, but best to expect it, then it will be a bonus if it doesn't happen. Mind you they've paid all but one of mine, I just find it irritating to have to defend my report like this.

I stopped doing RE shops for a while but have recently succumbed and started again. Only 1 minor query so far and a couple of nice meals out booked for next week. Not sure this will do my slimming world target any good though.
  • Well I'm a happy boy this morning, having been bemoaning the fact for a few weeks that the RE Bookies has no longer been a free bet but one specified by them Chelsea's 4-0 win last night is a tidy little bonus:beer:

They do but ABA-I tend to release all of their work in the first 3 days of the month for a fvery fast turn around. So at this time of month there isnt much left, all depends what clients you have as well. There is one Mobile shop in Glasgow just now on ABA but thats all I can find.

I seem to be limited to shops in the Arcadia Group:confused: but I'll have a look at the beginning of next month. thanks

Beware I had a few who gave the wrong answer to the question and suddenly I was no longer required for stamp jobs.

Lil because Bare are paying from a foreign bank account some banks take longer than others to show the credit -A&L are known for being slow at virtually everything which isnt coming in from the UK or between their own accounts in my experience. Incidentally do you know if they charge for the currency conversion, am trying to find which is the cheapest bank as I'm due a few transfers which wont be sent in sterling.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
