Haven't been doing this job for very long but was thinkig back to my first assignment. It was a chicken shop and I did it a week early. Needless to say, I didn't get paid for it. Can you all remember your first assignment?

Ok so i've got a question. I've got an email from Tern about the postal strikes and not sending anything back to them via mail unless you can guarantee it'll get there. What do I do about my claim form? It says on it that I can e-mail it, but when I open it up it seems to be read only i'm not able to write on it. So would I have to scan/take a photo of it and email it? or is there some technical way to make the form read/write?

Hahaha, my first was also a chicken job and I forgot the receipt :rotfl:

I really need to get paid Absolutely skinto. Havent been paid by GAP or BARE for the last 2 months work yet as I suspect I didnt add my account details in time.. Oops! Hope they go in this time *fingers crossed*

Had a call from RE tonight, queried me purchasing a gift card on a job I did for them, they said it specifically said in the notes not to purchase one, I said I can't recall that and if they would wait on the line I would check the said notes. I brought up the info and hey presto no mention of not purchasing a gift card. At first she said I wouldn't get paid, then when I said it wasn't mentioned in my notes, she backed down and said I would get paid.
Just so others are aware, they are saying now the notes have been amended to say no gift card.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say thanks for all the useful advice on this thread. I heard of mystery shopping years ago but was too young to do it then, then when I first visited this forum the mystery shopping threads caught my attention.

I've registered for a few sites now and at the moment it feels like I can't stop checking them in case any new jobs pop up! My first job was a food delivery last week, I thought it was a good choice for a first go since I could do all of my timings in the comfort of my own home and without having to worry about being discreet!

This week I had my first 'outside job' at a fast food joint and I also have two more assignments lined up for the weekend. So far it all seems good and I'm looking forward to trying out a wide variety of jobs. One of the sites I've signed up for annoys me a bit because it doesn't seem to offer any proper info unless you accept a job, which is a bit off-putting with me being new to the whole thing. I think I may leave that site until I'm a bit more confident about mystery shopping.

Thanks again for all the advice and I'll try to pop back. I've enjoyed reading about everyone else's experiences.

I managed to pick up a baby shop (perfect for an xmas pressie for my nephew) and a non-tapas but nice restaurant. Good haul!

I only saw an Orpington baby one but don't really need anything baby-wise so declined it.

Spikey do you want to come and do the Bluewater one with me Tues or Wed evening?
