    Hi just joined this forum.

Just thought I would share some of my Mystery shop tips.

If you get any shops at supermarkets, petrols stations, corner shops etc. and it requires you to purchase something and the job allows it why don't you purchase some of the magazines that are mentioned in the moneysaving email that contain vouchers or free stuff. Or you could maybe purchase scratchcards and lottery tickets. I've done this at petrol station jobs. (I don't encourage gambling, please be responsible.)

Another thing is when you have to buy stuff at a job, purchase it on a moneyback credit card where you get cash or points that you can convert into vouchers. Also if you purchase on a credit card by the time your card statement comes in you should probably been paid by the MS company and therefore no need to use your own money to pay for thing and be out of pocket until pay day.

Sorry if this has already been noted.

I always buy toilet paper or cleaner, kitchen paper, washing up liquid or milk, then I can say 'I need a receipt for work'.

When I did a casino I asked for receipts with a smile and said 'the joys of being self employed, I can claim these back' which was technically true :D.

Wrote up a phone job last night & scored the company 0. Oh dear, wasn't very Christmas spirited of me, but I had no option as there wasn't a minus points option

Not picking up any more till next year now unless something tasty comes along (e.g. nice phone call from RE offering me hotel stay 5 miles from office, saving me £13 diesel & 3hr round trip :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

At the risk of being called a troll again! can i just say, i am told by people where i use to work, that their bosses are using "mystery shoppers" to sack people. I said this once before and was called a troll. It looks like their bosses are presenting staff with a ticked list saying they have failed the mystery shop which is against shop policy. So can i ask a) would the paperwork you guys submit identify the company and yourselves? b) if the member of staff being accused appealled thro a tribunal would the MS company appear in court or the actual MS? as my ex colleagues beleive some of the MS presented are fake and done by management to reduce staffing levels. I knew there was something dodgy when i was there, now they know what it is they can fight it... they know this as one memner of staff failed the mystery shop on their day off!!!!!!!!!!

    cheers loopy

Take the company to tribunal with the help of CAB if necessary. It would then be for the tribunal to ask for supporting evidence for the ms reports from the company concerned.

It's not for us as effectively the "indians" to deal with your issue, it's a matter for the "chiefs", the ms company and client company to deal with when addressed in a tribunal. Your colleagues need to take proper advice and get this sorted in the appropriate forum, which isn't this one.

All I can do as a reputable mystery shopper is provide objective reports. Subjective comments are allowed only when specifically required.

many thanks for your polite reply... this is all i was asking, i didnt know how you guys stood regarding this legally. now i understand, question answered. Thank you, and my ex colleagues now have their union on side since they have worked out some of the MS reports are fake. no offence was meant and no accusations against any of you.

    many thanks again.

Hi all hope you are having good days! Ive got tons of online work to get on with it today. Anyhow have any of you had RE jobs taken back off of you today? I was sent an email stating that phone call with purchase I had booked for next week had been released from me as it was wrongly removed from someone else?!?!? I am very cross about it as I saw a job and applied for it and now its been taken from me :(

Also some help needed - I took GFK lunch assignment as posted in alerts yesterday. In notes it states to be done between Friday-Monday and I was going to go to do it on Sunday. But my screen still only shows today's date so I have no way of setting the date to one of the other allowed dates? Any help would be appreciated as before I contact them I just wanted to know if its a general problem for everyone. Thanks

A question for the more experienced MS'ers (I wouldn't dare call you old :D) the job boards seem to have dried up - is there likely to be many jobs released this side of chrimbo?

I bow to your greater knowledge oh experienced ones :D

Thanks for your reply.:D Yes, I got the briefing as an attached file but it doesn't include the actual questionnaire. I'm still new to MS and have worked with only a couple of companies but so far I always got questionnaire before shopping. Was wondering if Abai doesn't provide questionnaires in advance...
If you go to booked visits on the website and go to complete you can then view the questionnaire you will need to fill in when you get home - hope that helps :)
