Has anyone done work for ukims,if so are they any good.
I have done work for them. Mainly merchandising and audits but occasionally the odd MS. They offer regular work and I never had any problems payment wise. Nice to talk to and do answer emails.I am quite choosy about the work nowadays...tried everything they threw at me in the early years but as fees and travel expenses have gone down so much these last few years I am alot more choosy. I think they can be very unrealistic with the timings of their merchandising/audit assignments. They always take a lot longer than they say. :rotfl:0 -
I wonder if anybody could help me (I think I'm having a thick day again:o)? I've just got a catalogue shop assignment from Abai.
It says I must complete it within 2 days from accepting it. I accepted it at lunch time today. Does it mean I can shop on Saturday and submit the questionnaire by the end of the day?
Another thing is, I got the briefing by e-mail but cannot see the questionnaire anywhere. Is there any way I could read it before I shop? It's my first cat assignment so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.0 -
I'm pleased to say that I've had a nice MSing day today. I went to a nice little shopping centre that I wouldn't have visited otherwise, posted my ebay sales and enjoyed a tasty sandwich, all paid for.
Now I'm not saying that I earnt a fortune, but 3 jobs including questionnaires in less than 2 hours is a good amount. That was why I started doing this, to get out and about and earn a few quid, makes up for some of the more trying days.0 -

Remember to take a large deep breath and steel yourself for a long queue though if the one I did earlier this week is to go by! Expect at least a 20 minute wait then you will be pleased if it's done sooner.0 -
The briefing should be attached, there will be a little paperclip to show you this. I'm intending on shopping some of the catalogue shops that I picked up today on Saturday, this does fall within the 2 day rule I think.

Thanks for your reply.:D Yes, I got the briefing as an attached file but it doesn't include the actual questionnaire. I'm still new to MS and have worked with only a couple of companies but so far I always got questionnaire before shopping. Was wondering if Abai doesn't provide questionnaires in advance...0 -
Well, rather a frustrating day so far, Grassroots sent me to a mobile phone concession in a supermarket to do a PAYG assignment, only problem being the concession didn't stock PAYG phones (a pity as it was quite a good reimbursement).
...and RE sent me to do a stamps assignment on a branch that closed in early 2009 (according to the internet)

I see what you mean now. No Abai do not send the questionnaire and you can't see it online before you do the job. They are quite straightforward, just make you sure follow the whole brief, as there are several sections for some of the catalogue shops (the higher paid ones).
Thank you again! The briefing is quite long so I'm going to do some homework before Saturday. It's funny that I'm feeling slightly nervous. I never thought I'd feel like this about shopping at a catalogue shop!:rotfl:0 -
