  • Hi all,

It's just that I've been trying to submit a job request for later this week and have been rejected because of this rule. It confused me because I have many shops at different sites lined up before I return to that store again. I was going to query it, but didn't want to bother them if the rule actually refers to the fact that a different mystery shopper needs to go there rather than me completing all of that store's visits.

Sorry for waffling and thanks in advance for any advice.

I have been trying to apply for a job for the same company/client and keep getting told I can't apply because there is another job 5 days before or after this one. I don't have any jobs currently booked with them so was a bit confused as to why I got the message. Should I be reading this as "someone else is doing a mystery shop at this location 5 days before or after" rather than "I have a job at this location/client 5 days before or after"?? I sent them a question about it but haven't received a reply so any advice would be great!

It's because someone else is doing a mystery shop there 5 days before/after so they don't want the same place shopped twice in 1 week. For example they might be doing a drive thru and you're trying to book a walk-in. You will just need to pick another date, or if it wont let you select any of the dates just mail the company and they'll have to reschedule the first one.

Yup! Try to pick a date at either end of the available dates (that you can do of course).

Hello all, a newbie here. I thought I'd introduce myself.
I started reading the mystery shopping threads only last week. I decided to give it a go myself and registered with 3 companies listed here.
Yesterday I manage to get my first job, which involves visiting a pub and ordering drinks and a meal. I'm going there tomorrow evening. I've been reading the instruction and the questionnaire to death but still feel anxious about it! I would appreciate it if anybody could give me some advice/reassurance...:o Thanks.

    Welcome.
Make some notes from the brief on your mobile phone or in a little notebook that you can pop in your pocket/bag. Refresh yourself with the details before you go in making a note of the left, right and external boards etc that they ask you to notice. I pretend I am writing a text on my mobile and pop all the details in whilst in car park or loitering on pavement. As you have to pop to the loo on these assignments you can look in your notebook or phone to refresh your memory as to what you might have forgotten to look at. Don't forget the receipt...above all relax...enjoy the drink and meal... providing it's a half decent pub!

  • Hello everyone,

I am a 25 year old student and I work 8 hours a week part time. I am very intrested in becoming a mystery shopper and was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions.

When do I need to register as self-employed?
How many jobs do you guys do a month?
