Mystery Shopping - Make £40-50 per assignment. Each assignment is about 1.5 hours.

A typical assignment would involve looking at different motor insurance providers web sites or calling their call centres, just to get a price. You tell us what the experience was like, but you are not required to actually buy the insurance. You get paid £40-£50 for about 1.5 hours' work.

I didn't know there was a referral thread but Consumer Intelligence was mentioned in the weekly MSE mail a few weeks back.

I did the car insurance quote one which is supposed to pay £10 though I haven't been paid yet or even had any confirmation that I've completed the task. It was simple enough and my car insurance is due in December anyway so I would have trawled all the websites in any case. I assumed as it was in the MSE mail it must be a genuine site, but since then I've noticed a few people in the forums say it's not genuine.

I'll post on here if/when I get paid.
  • just been through the thread. some have been paid and few recently havnt

Has anybody done one of the shopping channel jobs for GfK please? If so does the fee include the cost of the return, and also will the shopping channel refund the full cost of the product including their p&p costs?
    Many thanks.

    Hi

The postage costs are not additional to fee and the shopping channel will only refund the cost of the item to you and not P&P charges.

Sure thats not what you wanted to hear!

I've been paid for a phone car insurance and an online car insurance MS with them, plus an extra £5, I think, for a post-MS survey. They're (or at least were in the summer) genuine.

I have just failed the TNS one this morning, I tried it 3 times, I printed out all the notes & have read them & read them, I took ages doing the questionnaire but cannot figure out which question was incorrect - nyway in the end I figured if it was that hard to do the questionnaire then the reports you would have to do mus he hell on earth!!
Why don't you phone TNS, they are helpful and it might be your interpretation of the notes that is making it difficult for you.

I did two insurance phone/online surveys for them a couple of months ago and received the cheques promptly.

know this mmust be on here somewhere but............

Gap - 8 hours to get report in.

Never had a problem with this before but ive got an 8 hour shift after a job today.
Is it 8 hours after you have left the building or 8 hours after the job time window has closed.

    Have a good day!
If you do it when you get home you'll be fine. Gap will usually send a reminder email about lunch time the next day if they havent received your report.

I failed TNS first time as well. Give it a few months and re-apply. You might be lucky second time round like I was
