I did a job at a Toy Shop which involved asking about Desktop PC's which they do not do and then asking for a recommendation. I visited the said shop and looked at the PC's, asked a member of staff who said they only have 1 laptop and 1 netbook in stock, so not really a recommendation. I contacted the MS company involved and told them, they kindly said they would pay me 50% of the fee and exclude the report, I was told this morning that they send two people to each of the jobs and the other person did not have any problems - will this effect my rating with this MS company as I was being honest with them.

Just completed my Large Letter jobs, made two ladies behind the counters very happy. :T Came away feeling very pleased that I have put a smile on someone's face on a Monday morning . Thanks for the advice CTE !

It sounds like you did the best you could. I would say in your answers that she recommended 1st class post and went ahead without giving you the chance to change it (if that is correct).

You've got a receipt for both items and that's all it says in the brief. Gap have told some people since that they should be separate receipts, so I am going to ask for that. I'm going to say that 1 item is for work so I need a separate receipt but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I have found with RE that persistence seems to be the key to getting paid in situations like this. Keep on responding with the same message, e.g. you checked and were told to shop in the evening so you expect to be paid. Eventually they give in but it is awful that we have to go through situations like this. I'm afraid that RE do seem to have a much higher percentage of this kind of problem, so worth bearing in mind when you are picking up jobs from them.

I think this job is doomed :mad: my computer just crashed after submitting report but before uploading picture of the receipt & it won't let me back into it. I've now emailed GAP to explain, hopefully they will be ok.
I gave a very long explanation of what happened in comments box so I hope they still pay me for job.

If you go My Assignments, then hopefully you should be able to submit the receipt from there. It gives you the option 'Upload receipt' in red from here.

Thank you for that. I've called them again and the query is being dealt with by someone up above so fingers crossed. I'll definitely bare in mind your advice though...:D

my deadline was 1500 friday and i only got given them on thursday :eek: when i did a load a while back (21!) and only had 3 days the last few got extended which was such a relief as i was able to leave the laptop and eat and speak to my family :rotfl:all of mine have been vetted now apart from the final one which lets you get paid so hoping it gets vetted before wed so i can get my invoice in as soon as i can. off on wed for few days for xmas present run back home.

Yes I'd leave it now, hopefully will get through the proof reading without incident. Fingers crossed your next job goes more smoothly. :beer:
