Is there anyone around that is doing any of the "heavy stamp jobs" for gap?

Am I correct in that the purchase has to be made after the actual job?
Can I buy savings stamps? What is everyone else buying??
The purchase has to be made after the main scenario, with a separate receipt.

I'm buying savings stamps, it doesn't say not to which it often does so think it is OK. Make sure you get a receipt though as they don't usually give them automatically for these, they are only payable by cash as well not debit card.

I'm posting a pile of magazines for my heavy parcel, no problems with spillages then. And my sister is always happy to receive some second hand magazines to read, better explain it first though as she will think I've lost my mind spending a fortune on postage for these!

Glad to see everyone's making the people in the stamp shop's day with the certificate. I'm kicking my heels at home waiting for someone to come and replace my car window as it was smashed last night. Had to reschedule loads of jobs v annoying.
  • Has anyone done one of those new petrol jobs for Gap yet? There is loads to remember!! Just reading through the questionnaire.

The pharmacies on ESA have now been assigned, so check your in boxes and see if you've been lucky. I've got the furthest 4 from my house that I applied for, but they are near my parents so that is good as can take my Dad shopping at the same time.
  • I'm also worried as I noticed the garage which I'm assessing, re-appear on the job board for the same day and time span as I've picked. I thought only one person could assess a place per day for Gap?
  • I've jsut done a large letter job for Gap, the lady got it right and was soooo embarrassed when I handed over the certificate.

She said "Who's it from?" and I was like "Uhm, er, it's from your employer, I'm here to check to ask the right questions" .... does it actually say anywhere on the brief what you're meant to say when you hand it over?

Got another 5 to do this week so I'll be word perfect by the end!!!

Lol, I am dreading them getting it right, will feel right numpty handing it over, looks like something my 5 yr old made at school!

    Hi all,
I've just done the large letter job for GAP & I think I've screwed it up :(
I was quite nervous as I'm new to this & it was my 3rd ever job, it was pouring with rain & there were 24 people in front of me.
Anyway, the person only asked me one question then told me to post first class at 61p. (first mistake - instructions were to post 2nd class) I paid then asked for certificate of posting but got no receipt. I then asked for my purchase & I had to ask for receipt. At this point I saw the receipt had both things on it (2nd mistake). I did pay for one then the other but she put everything on one receipt & I was too flustered by then to say anything. There was no way I could go to end of queue for 2nd part as it was out the door.
    Is it screwed up?
    I hope not

RE is saying they're not paying me for an assignment because I shopped in the evening when I was supposed to have gone in the morning. When I accepted the assignment, I knew that the place they wanted me to go doesn't open early so I checked with someone at the office that the time they meant was in the eve not in the morning and she confirmed it was.

Now... I spoke to a member of staff there who said he was getting back to me but I've already got 2 voicemail messages from different people... it's a different person dealing with this each time and it doesn't seem like they are going to pay me even though it's their fault...

I've only done one assignment previously for them but been reading on here that they're not the easiest company to work for... any suggestions? I'm not sure what to do:confused:.. any ideas will be greatly appreciated!!
