Is the 20GB colour one 4th generation or 5th generation? And what difference does it make?

I googled the part no and searched the apple website for the p/n too, but found no info on it. The order could be cancelled by Apple yet..... 8 days to wait!

Tempted by the 20gb ipod too but would like to find out which model this is exactly. I have seen ipods on the refurb store before where some actually say 'photo' whereas others like this one say 'with colour display'. Therefore I am not sure if this was a photo one or not. I checked on Amazon and found an Apple Ipod 20GB which has the part no MA079B/A. The description there is for the photo version but I noticed that when I added the one on the Apple store it shows a part no of FA079 in the basket. Like abomb1969 I can't find this anywhere.

Can anyone definitely confirm one way or the other?

It is the iPod photo - they dropped the photo tag when the whole range went colour and photo capable.

Cheers tommyj - oh dear that means I might have to go ahead and order one. Just trying to decide if 20GB is going to be enough as after having converted all my CDs the library is at 14GB already. I had been thinking of the new 30GB with video but the cheapest is about £170 so this is almost £100 cheaper.

can you play back viedos on this IPOD. Does it have FM radio etc. ANy 1 got the specs for this.

Can't play videos, doesn't have an fm radio, can't do the dishes or feed the kids. The mpg is sadly lacking, and flights to hong kong aboard this ipod are fairly slow. It can't do your monthly accounts, pay the bills or ring sky to sort out a cheaper deal. You can't make phone calls using it.

Read their conditions for return. They will arrange pick up by their courior but will charge you £20 off your refund for the service. Also says security seals need to be intact (don't know if this means the packaging or the ipod). No way does it cost £20 to ship an iPod so this is a bit of a rip off.
