  • I'd be grateful for any advice.

I've unlocked my new phone with no problems (Nokia 5210) but it won't accept the O2 SIM card - says SIM not valid. Is this fixable?

    Many thanks.

how many tries at code have you had?''

Thanks Drahcir, but that one didn't work. She keeps saying 'cannot undo restriction', is that normal? That was my third try, I tried the +1 and +7 code that the first link in the first post comes up with, working with the V2 gen.

Looks like I might have to leave her, I know that our relationship shouldn't just be about things like this but I'm young and need to experiment a bit. It's not like I'm asking her to let me roam or even getting her flashed about a bit. All i want is for our relationship to progress a little further, I need her to forget about Mr T and stop the innocent Virgin act. Any tips? Or is this is one restriction that even you smoothtalkers can't crack?

    Thanks- fmoney.

Many thanks. It worked straight away.
  • Many, many thanks drahcir. I'd used one code and then tried the other later. I reentered them one after the other and it worked :D
  • Not sure if I'm posting in the right place but would really like some help please....I have a Nokia K700i phone, bought from Mercury over the internet which uses T mobile as its network. After being unable to use the phone to dial or text out for the past month I have cancelled my contract and want to unlock the phone to use a pay as you go simcard in it.
I have been to a mobile phone shop today and they told me they could unlock the phone but it might not work as T mobile may lock it again? They wanted £10 just to try it! I've put in the code that gives you the IMEI number which is 35841300-464878-1-20, I cant afford to pay £10 if this wont work and wondered if anyone knew if it was possible to unlock this phone or not?
    heres hoping.....thanks,
    mary.

i think she means because she cancelled the contact the phone will be barred, in her words, locked again by t-mobile.
