Are 3 phones only compatible for 3 sims, or once unlocked can they take any network sims?

Also do 3 sims only work in special 3 phones or do they work in any unlocked phones?

Hi again- do you guys think you could do me a favour? I'm with a stubborn 3510i. She's been a virgin her whole life and I'm trying to show her the error of her ways, but she refuses to let me turn her orange. She isn't happy with my suggestion of '3', either. What do I tell her?

3 network phones should take all sims when unlocked, but most other phones when unlocked wont take 3 sims (unless it is a model that has been released on 3g)
