Why do all the web sites on MSE not list the nokia 6230i yet so many people seem to manage to unlock their phones? Can anyone advise where to get the code from?

I have tried to do this myself but have had error message twice.tried with sim card both in and out. the phone is a nokia 6230 and the imei code is

3550380050230656230

there is a list of about 8 or 9 codes but I think I can only attempt it 5 times.
can anyone help please??
BTW I tried it with the network I want to use sim rather than vodafone which is the network it is locked onto. the code I get is

#pw+5372321348 +1#

any help would be most grateful as my d900 went through the washing machine!!!!lol
