I really need to get out of bed soon. I've been awake since 1/4 to 9, had breakfast and got back into bed. I've got lots to get on with today, maybe I should make a list.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

You're all ahead of me, I'm running out of clean clothes and really need to do some washing. Which'll have the side effect of making my bedroom floor visible again... I don't do ironing though!

In fact, I've decided to moderate todays plan - sit and read and squeeze in at least three 10 minute bursts of housework. Although given how crap the book I'm reading for book club is, housework is seeming really appealing.

Jacs, you got my mouth watering so much I've taken a chilli marinated pork chop out myself for tonight! I'll just grill it, with loads of roasted med veg and some garlic mini roast pots. Yum!

I've just nipped into town and decided to have a look in Next - I thought their homewares section would be really dear, but it was very reasonable. I got two pillowcases for £6 (wish I'd gone there instead of BHS the other day, I paid £8 for two there), and their crockery is the same price as asda's normal ranges. Saw some nice cushions that I'll think about getting next month. They also had some funky money boxes in the kids range, but I'll avoid them. One of mine's cracking but I've already decided to get a really big one and change what goes in which box. Is it sad to be 28 and have 3 money boxes?!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I'm 37 and have 3. Two of which I picked up in Weybiza...
"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky."
    OMD 'Julia's Song'

Good to know I'm not the only one! I am a bit obsessive about them though, the other week I gave my purse to sister to buy something from the motorway services for me, and she couldn't understand why I was so annoyed at her for spending a £2 coin and a 20p one. Next time I bought something I deliberately asked for a £2 in the change, she gave me three!

  • Hello all, hope you're all having a good weekend. I'm busy multi-tasking (or at least trying to!) - posting items on eBay, doing the washing, watching Lord of the Rings and surfing MSE.

Got mountains of ironing to do but will save that for X Factor later!

Yes thanks Buff...Police were called in the end, and they suggested it would be better if his dad went elsewhere, which he did..so he didn't come here after all...still, it made me clean the spare room out!!!

Not too fond of tea (except fruit tea) and I haven't ironed anything in over a year! :rotfl: The only clothes I own that ever need ironing are 3 shirts left over from when I cleaned in a hospital last summer and waited on through agency work. Speaking of which, I still haven't sent that complaint letter yet! What am I like? :o:D
