Hi Hypno - had a great day at work (my boss was away!) STILL waiting for the DVLA refund though - think I'm going to end up going to the ombudsman which is really annoying as they have admitted its their mistake.
OH is flying back tonight - I wouldn't let him spend all his food allowance so we should be about $200 in profit - made him eat McDonalds the whole time he was away! Tee Hee.

BAAAARRRRRRRRRRKING er insanely so0 -
Those instructions are in Chinese, aren't they, not Gaelic? And a *dead* pirate, good grief Shaun! Mind you, its Halloween next week
I watched Phil and Kirsty too - both the blokes were complete nutters, weren't they? I liked the camels tho. And I love the banter........2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Banking is all done, money moved around, bills paid, and we seem to be nicely positioned for my new method of "housekeeping" with weekly pay.....
£15 has been paid to the 0% card - not a lot, but my problem in October was that I was a bit too keen to pay money to the 0% card, which then left the current account dangerously short towards the end of the month, which was stupid really because it could have been avoided.
So the £15 is a token payment to say I'm still on it's case! Any "extra" MSE money will go there too, because I am determined not to rely on the extras to survive any more.....but I should not be in such a hurry to transfer what I think is surplus from the every day moneyIt is highlighting what a difference having the student money made to us, but I have no regrets whatsoever in cutting that out this year, so it is a trade off I just have to incorporate properly!
Anyway - it all looks ok for now, so I am pleased with that and, again, it is a far cry from paydays gone by!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
That sounds good - your quality of life must have improved dramatically without having the student, I'm glad you don't regret waving that goodbye.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
