We've just done our food shop. We overspent:eek: but it will all even out if we can eek the food out until about March :rotfl:xx0 -
Foodshop is scheduled for Wednesday bright and early -Hoping the bank card arrives tomorrow. I lost it -and found it as soon as I'd reported it (of course) <sigh>I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Ooooh how annoying duchy - hope it arrives. I can still hear the customer service lady at my bank laughing from when I phoned to ask for a replacement for my card after my dog had eaten my old one - there was no way I was piecing that together!!!0

Did you buy a new bucket while you were thereA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I did the food shop today (hopefully the last of the year) and it took me aaaaggggeeeessss!! I had a £2 off a £20 spend and less than that in the grocery budget left! I spent ages adding and calculating and recalculating to just come under budget. (My baileys-a-like is coming out of my Xmas budget which made it up to over £20.) I now have £1.21 left for groceries this year! I'm not sure I've ever managed to not by food for at least 10 days before but I now have to...:eek:Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Am running late this morning, despite getting up a few minutes earlier - how did that happen
Ah well, banking done - £12 scratch money and £14 mystery shopping money received in the bank, so £26 transferred to the debt pot, allowing a further square to be coloured in - always a good start to the day. Scratches done, and another £10 withdrawal requested. Maybe it will arrive before Christmas......
Yesterday's present buying mission has all been wrapped up, so just the last few bits and pieces to do there, and the food shop nightmare to do this evening........not looking forward to that, but it has to be done.
I hope you all have a good day - I had better get a move on, as I am on the bus today.......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Good morning Hypno,
Hope your food shop nightmare goes well, we've been running the cupboards down ready for the move, and just realised we've not got enough in for Christmas, so a 6am Tesco trip is scheduled for tomorrow (earlier if we can make it).
Latest thing I'm a fan of is bingoport, you get amazon vouchers, only joined a week or so ago, already got one £5 voucher through and another one for me ordered, OH joined and has another on order too. Let me know if you want more info.
Hope you have a good day0 -
how come we all go crazy at this time of year and buy enogh food to last us all winter ? you would think the shops were shut for a week ...in saying that i am just on my way out to he shops just now ...not for xmas food (think hubby and son have decided on takeaway theres a surprise) but to go and get chicken etc to freeze ...
