I did something similar with my Cap One card when I first got it. The statement arrived and there was an interest charge showing and a fee charged so rang up and questioned it - kicked myself when the chap said what the problem was but managed to keep my cool enough to say I wanted to complain about the fact that it hadn't been made clear enough and that it wasn't a natural assumption to make....he caved in to refunding the fee after I threatened to close the account due to "their lack of transparency" but I had to pay the interest and count it as a lesson learnt. Thankfully I was clearing the card so the rest of it didn't become a problem. I wish you luck sorting it out - or even better, that your card may be one that doesn't charge in this way for gambling transactions.

Aw, thanks Essex! As it goes, I checked my bank's T&Cs online after Hypno told me (rightly) that everyone's is different, and I saw nothing online, then checked the back of my statement (again thanks to The Big H), and it says nothing there, although I did look online at Natwest's T&C and they are explicit, so I shall have to wait and see. As these things go, I've checked my bank balance online and there's no trace of the money having left my CC, or my winnings going back onto it, so I sahll assume it's a weekend thing for the next 24 hours.

Still, lesson learned. CAn you imagine if I had used it for more than £5?!

I must admit that I'm not a FB farmer, either: I spend so much time between here and there that any apps would mean I never get off the computer!

And talking about Kim and Agi (I LOVE that show: I'm devastated it's had the chop! :'( ) one thing I have taken from them is making my own biodegradeable cleaners. I haven't tried many but they really do work, are made from household ingredients and cost pennies to make. What's not to love?!

    Hello again,

Right, is there anyone who can explain the principles of online bingo to me, please?

I decided I had had enough of no wins with the bingo of the fox, ao I decided that if I bought every single ticket available to me for one game, that I was bound to win something as I would have every card and therefore no matter what combination of numbers were drawn, I would have the corresponding card to match to it.. As a result, I went on to one of the games with a relatively small number of card (48), and bought them all. Every last one.

Did it work? Did it hell! I then started to think what the reasons behind that would be, and the only thing I could think of was that they only offer each player a selection of all the possible cards for any one game. Does that seem about right to you? And if that is so, how can they possibly choose which ones to let you choose from? How can that be categorically fair? Surely they should say '100 cards with a maximum of X (where X is their predetermined number) for each person?

Pickle, there are 90 numbers.........and you only have 15 of those numbers on each card.

That means that there are far far far far more than 48 combinations of 15 numbers out of 90, so you don't have a guaranteed chance of winning, otherwise everyone would just go and buy maximum tickets.

When you are bored one day - start working out how many different combinations of 15 numbers you get from the numbers 1-90, and you will see what I mean!

BB has finished for me....boo.....not unexpected though, so can't complain.

10ps only on scratches, and nothing to show in banking.....I will pay in the weekend's "takings" at lunchtime but other than that nothing to report.

Have a good day everyone x

Being very boring you have exactly the same chance of wining with one card as you do with 100. Its a 50:50 thing. Either scenario A you win or scenario B you lose. Any one game only has three winners, line, 2 lines and full house so more than three purchases is a waste, on the other hand there really is no science behind it, its simply the luck of the draw.
