lol, becky - mine is an acer aspire........*coming to a refurb shop near you soon* :rotfl:

Do you reckon they would take mine in part exchange :rotfl:

I will possibly go for the really MSE option, which is to nick OH's permanently :D

  • KC, thank you so much for replying to my very personal enquiry, I find it very helpful for my own thinking, so I'm sincerely grateful... but I also found it funny too (in a nice way) and the responses on this thread have really made me smile after a really tough week :D

I'm going to go with the flow with the greying locks. I'm really proud to be getting old. I was poorly between the ages of 19-21 and getting to 30 was seen by everyone, including the medics as a bit of a miracle - so now I'm even older, I want to wear my grey hair with pride. Times may change my thinking of course, much as they've changed KC's hence the question.

Good luck with the laptop Hypno. You've gone quiet on the aching muscles - how are you?

Hypno you can't knick OH's on the basis that what's yours is yours and what's his is yours!

all this talk of chocolate has given me the push to make ISOM's brownie receipe. Fink there's sommit wrong with my cooker though, singed on top and very runny aka uncooked, in the middle. need to get a cooker thermometer and check if it's hotter than it says it is.

I always had very dark chestnut hair which is beginning to have rather a lot of natural silver hi-lights in. I've home dyed in the past but I just don't like the texture when it's dyed. I've decided to go with it and let the silver do its thing for a bit - might reconsider when the balance of silver overtakes the chestnut though - but still won't like the texture.

I am very dosed up with a cocktail of drugs which are just about making it bearable. However, the combination of no sleep due to weeks of coughing followed by pain everytime I move in bed, combined with drugs with "likely to cause drowsiness" plastered all over the boxes, has led to me being rather like a zombie - even people at work have commented on how tired I look this week......:o

I am lucky in that I have very dark brown hair, with very little grey. My sister was fully grey by the age of 21 - yet I have all the stress and have managed to largely avoid grey hair..... I colour my hair to give it a bit of life as much as anything, as the depth of colour out of the bottle is much nicer than my au naturel look. I use Boots own brand, and it works really well, and has a nice feel to it. And of course it is often on 2 for £5 so is an absolute bargain :D

I too am fed up of dyeing my hair. It was a non-descript brown when I started highlights 30 years ago :o, I've been home dyeing blonde for years. As I went greyer the blonde took differently so I had DIY streaks which actually looked pretty good :D. But I am lucky enough to escape to the sun fairly often & no matter what I do it just bleaches, so have stopped dyeing & am now turning a fetching shade of platinum :T, however it's dark at the back . 2 cuts from now all the blonde should be gone

Any bets as to how it takes me to scuttle off to Boots :rotfl:

PS I approve of that house Hypno, you may proceed & buy it :)
