Hypno.....how exciting about the new houses. When will you get an idea of what they'll look like?

I spoke to the developer today but they have only just got planning permission so no ideas on price or anything and the guy had no information on square footage, or number of houses being built, only that they will be 4, 5 and 6 bed detached houses on that site......

So, I have registered an interest and will get an invite to the launch when they are a bit more organised with it all. I hope they will not be completed before middle of next year, then I have a chance of being debt free and ready to think about it.......and of course the prices could be waaaay off, and we will have to be realistic because it is happening potentially, a lot sooner than we had considered.

OH hasn't ridiculed the idea, which is a very positive start....... Perhaps he hopes that I might finally shut up about the whole house moving thing, if we actually move house so is humouring me :rotfl:

Oh my goodness - I just won £2.50 for getting two lines and then a tenner for full house. I now have a total of £22.50/£120 for DS's trip!!!!!!

Can I just check....I need to deposit a tenner now to get it all out and then i'll lose the rest of my bonus for today? If I played again before I take the money out then i'd be playing with my winnings??? xx

Correct. See? Told ya! You're addicted like the rest of us Stepford Wife Bingo-Playing Maniacs! :p:rotfl:

Macgirl - you on the phone shouting about your winnings had me creasing up. I went to drop children off to school this morning and another mum got talking to me. I wanted to say that I couldn't stop and chat as I had to go and play bingo as it was my only chance today. Luckily I managed to stop myself!!!:rotfl:xx

I know, I always have to stop myself talking about it at work - it's not very cool is it? What a naff guilty secret to have! :rotfl:

i spent some time at work looking at houses and have found a lovely house, just need to win 1/4 mill so we can buy it then afford to the do the work that they have planning permission for.

Certainly not!! After all, these new houses may well be right outside our price range, or due for completion far too early.

    Don't forget - you'd get a better deal buying off-plan :money:
You could get in early, put down some bingo/scratch/quidco winnings as a deposit and you're in!

Hypno - can you not buy the house through Quidco? Wouldn't that be fab!!!

Macgirl - I am not addicted, I am not addicted, I am not addicted, I am not......jeeeeeee how long till I can get my £12.50 out and play the last £2 bonus:rotfl:xx

Ooooh nearly forgot.....earlier today I found myself in the 1p sale queue at M&S. They were trying to insist I bought 5 things but I only wanted the chocolates (obviously) and the tea towel and notebook (for stocking fillers). They couldn't get that I didn't want all five things. Even with my donation to a local charity it was a bargain (ok, i'm getting obsessed!)

bingo certainly gets you in the end.......but why not, it is cash after all - there are worse things to be talking about (and worse things to have as guilty secrets - I am sure we won't be appearing on Jerry Springer just yet!).

macgirl - I am quite happy to buy off plan.......and I have found myself being stupidly excited by the prospect of it all. I am visualising like there is no tomorrow!!

I am a great believer in fate - if it is meant to be, then it will happen, and I will just have to do my best and not be disappointed if it doesn't happen because it just means there is something better out there for us.

Wow this seems a change of plan - you aren't still keen on a period property with mature garden?

Yes, I agree. Though in my case that is easier said than done. I "just looked" at one last year. It had been on the market for a year and sold twice during that time. I passed it every day and when I saw the FOR SALE sign for the third time - I thought it was fate!

I went to view though OH warned me not to get too attached - me? Of course not!
As soon as I walked through the door, I could see the Christmas Tree in the window, roaring fire and full magazine makeover! :rotfl:

We did put in a cheeky offer, but so did many others and it did finally sell. I was devastated for a long time, but now - I'm glad we didn't buy it.

Your time will come - and won't it be sweet when it does :)
