Well, yes, it IS going to be a challenge, as always, but it is a choice - we can say No if we want to......

I still work on the basis, that if things had been done slightly differently, and I had put Dad's money away to pay for things like this, and we just worked hard at paying the debt, then it would be covered......and Dad's money would be doing the type of thing that he would have wanted it to do.

As it was, I "borrowed" Dad's money, in order to reduce the cost of the debt, and so when the big trips for the kids etc come up, I have to dig deep to repay what I had borrowed from him.......

Not sure if that makes sense, but I know for me it is the right way of thinking of it. Dad would have loved to help out if he could to get them skiing this much.

So......bingo, ebay and much refreshing of mystery shop pages, and we will get there.

Well done Mini Hypnos - what a fantastic opportunity for them !

I know you'll dig deep Hypno and you've got your holiday to look forward to as well.

Not much going on here - Someone has got hold of my credit card details and changed my verification password yesterday - luckily I had just logged on to my email from work when the email came through from bank telling me that it had been changed successfully !!!! - Card was cancelled within 5 minutes so they didn;t get a bean !!!!! ...................... mind you it has left DH and I with no cards till new ones arrive and we both needed diesel yesterday so that was £100 out the current account !!

DS had a great time in Berlin and was at the Brandenburg gate on Monday night.

New kitchen is being fitted in two weeks time, so have started packing everything ............. can;t believe how much stuff there is.

Anyway - back to watching Spooks .................... oh and I have made 4 pudsey bears

That is a b*g*er re the cards/bank account, but thank goodness you spotted it quickly, and managed to get it sorted.

I bet it was fab at the Brandenburg gate this week - my b-i-l and (now) s-i-l were inter-railing 20 years ago when it all happened and have some souvenir rubble and some very iconic photos that they took at the time.

Now, it would be seen as a bit dull "just" to go across Europe on a train - now you have to go to Aus, Cambodia, and Thailand lurching from internet cafe to internet cafe

I never did travel after School and Uni. I managed 3 weeks in Peru. I am going to make my children take time out to travel. My OH is the most unadventurous guy I know - and he hates flying!

Well done to mini Hypnos! You must be bursting with pride (and wincing at the cost).

Are there any funds that you can apply for? Surely there must be some help to support kids in sport now.

I never travelled at all - I bought my first house the week I did my A levels, and the rest, they say, is history :rotfl:

    IMD, I have to find:

    £990 by 18th November (Norway)
    £600 by 4th December (Norway)
    £1150 by 6th December (France)
    £1150 by 5th January (France)
    £400 by 8th January (Norway)

Do you still fancy that challenge :D

Have to agree with the others :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:. Im gobsmacked, but can't wait to watch you pull it off.
