Hi Buffy,
definitely no boyfriend herewatching Dr. Parnassus Imaginarium & swooning over Johnny Depp.
I dont suppose you know what epithet is ? Apparently I need to insert one in order to be honest with myself as to why I want to be single . Hope you're as confused by that as I am :rotfl:0 -
ep·i·thet
/ˈɛpəˌθɛt/
Show Spelled[ep-uh-thet]

–noun 1. any word or phrase applied to a person or thing to describe an actual or attributed quality: “Richard the Lion-Hearted” is an epithet of Richard I.
2. a characterizing word or phrase firmly associated with a person or thing and often used in place of an actual name, title, or the like, as “man's best friend” for “dog.”
3. a word, phrase, or expression used invectively as a term of abuse or contempt, to express hostility, etc.
Well that has left me highly confused...............xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Ha! Z was on about women who say 'All men are *****' as a lazy way out of getting one. None needed here. Men are great, I love em. I also love cheese but have no desire to be forced to only have cheddar for the rest of my days when there is stilton, brie, cheshire, feta, mozarella, parmesan etc, etc available to me!!!!
On another note this thread is very quiet. I didn't have a great month moneywise but after Sunday am on holidays for 2 weeks and there is money put away for that and also then I am going away somewhere to train for the new job and it will be all hotel based and expenses paid so Aug should be okay.
Missing Sarah B and everyone else who's quiet. Hope you are all okay. XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Hiya, still trying to save and not spend for my dream barge, been entering comps and bagging as many freebies as I can, still slowly decluttering.
Not going out this weekend which will be nice going to catch up on all the boring jobs and some sleep, and why oh why do I keep attracting the losers, don't answer that one I talk to anyone and am too polite to be rude, so it's my fault, going to learn to be a bit more assertive in that department.
What's everyone else up to?0 -
I am being motivated by El and DC to declutter, not much else is happening here aside from some napping and getting better from a cold. I did meet a nice guy at a wedding but it didn't amount to anything sadly.

No boyfriend here either - wish there was

Hi all i am ok, still moneysaving, tesco keep sending me late payment fee letters got to complain to terry leahy again after they promised i would not get any more letters. they promised to reinstate my dd from july, so i continued my s/o and oh guess what they did not reinstate dd and terry leahy said my payment would be paid just after 16th but they didnt.
anyway my car failed mot on handbrake, got that fixed and its in for mot again wed - but expiry date was 26/7. all day in the garage as an unexpected electrical fault happened just as i left and after paying man £70 he would not let me go till he found the problem. i got home 9pm, all wiring had to be pulled out and we found some old live disconnected alarms in the car that were interfering with electrics.
went on date last sunday night with guy id been texting on smooch. turned he knew someone i used to work with who i still keep in touch with. seemed nice at first but there was no spark for me when having drinks together so was honest and gently told him. he was ok at first then next few days got really abusive texts, so phoned police but that was tuesday and they have not got back to me at all after i left two messages and all the details of the guy but texts have stopped so far.
Yes still strapped for cash but ok. working tomorrow. I will get through this.
Going to get a settlement figure on tesco card and stick on the mortgage as I have extended mortgage to 34 years from 17 to help me.
Cant see a way of paying it off not enough earnt to do it unless i get a good paying job which is unlikely.;)Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230
