I know, but it looks so nice on and I can't help it!

To be fair I've known several people (all women, strangely) who've ironed sheets. Some of them also ironed socks and underwear. Now that is mad ... isn't it?!

Hi tracey, sorry your daughter is being "off" . prob is just the hormones... sometimes i think back to how i was years ago with my mum and nan.. and it was downright nasty really. But just a "stage" she will go through.

hopefully she will calm down soon and come and give you a big hug.

Yes it is mad. :) I haven't ironed anything for years.:j I don't even own an iron. I do however have an ironing basket but I just use it for dry clothes which need hanging up. if you hang your clothes and bedding properly when they are drying you don't even need to iron them. :)

Sorry :o, but I'm almost with sarah on this one, if washed, dried & hung/folded carefully then only minimum needs to be done. That is my professional opinion :D

Yes, I am the woman who shakes then folds everything from the machine into the basket before it's journey to the line, then repeats the process in reverse when it's all nicely wind dried. I dont let anyone take my washing off the line unless they know how to fold it properly :p.

Have rarely ironed bedding, or never for undies in my life .

    non ironing tips :

1 - dont overload the machine
2 - remove items as soon as cycle finished
3 - hang or line dry immediately
4 - if tumble drying - dont over load/heat & again remove promptly when cycle finished & hang or fold immediately

Here endeth the lecture ... :o

Ha. No not socks or pants but the rest of it. Have met loads of folk who say they don't iron clothes, but I've always known that before they told me.....cos their clothes were crumpled!!!! :rotfl:

    Again I say ooh James!

    Morning all,

gloriously sunny day here & washing machine finishing so just about to brave the wilds of the garden for line drying.

Having a cleaning binge here today :j so Souk, you & Shoe Gal will just have to manage James without me ... I trust you're quite capable ;)

Must run, crumpling is occurring in the machine as I type :rotfl:
