    Hi Skint spice,

    how's things with you ?

Yes, you're probably right. Trouble is for me the WANT is just like retail foreplay ... hmmmm  perhaps I should just hold that thought in my head & it might stop me from going down the path to PURCHASE :confused:Let's be realistic here, it''ll probably turn out to have some minor flaw that really really irritates me after a while & I'll have to stop dragging it around with me as it will just annoy me & then it wont have been worth the £70 I gave up to make it mine

Sound familiar ? Definitely need wine now :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:sounds like you've almost talked yourself out of it there Lula!

moi? this evening I have mainly been trying to defrost the freezer... god I'm bored! DS left the door slightly open before we went away for the week and I only noticed tonight that it looked like it had been snowing inside! soooo.... my evening has been spent with bowls of hot water and a hairdryer:mad::mad::o. To be fair to DS I think the seal might be going. I would much rather spend money on a handbag than a fridgefreezer:o.

Good that you do have someone ready to move in Yargo & it wil be nice to have the place to yourselft at weekends. I know someone that does B&B on that basis - usually men but she hasnt had any trouble yet :D

Sounds like a fab evening you have there skint  oh the joys of quality time with the freezer. Perhaps that's what I should be doing as I have plans to do some batch cooking tomorrow  I am scared & after a glass of wine now seriously considering feeding the mince to the cat - who keeps eyeing it up & licking his lips every time I open the fridge - & going back to buying sauces in nice easy jars :naughty:

I wonder how many meals cooked from scratch it will take to save enough to buy the bag  Probably far more than I can bear to cook, perhaps this is how I should rate how much I really want something, rather than using the amount of hours worked :D

Have you bought those red ones yet ?

I saw some similar on ebay recently & thought of you ;)

Think I'm going to head off to bed now & try to finish the library books that are due back on monday.

    Night night to all

    xx

Erm, I'm quite confused. Lula posted at 11.23pm and my laptop is saying that it's 11.15pm  Either Lula is posting from the future or there's something wrong with my laptop.

Dunno what's wrong with my laptop, but it was slow?! Bizarre.

Good luck with the batch cooking Lula, spag bol, chilli etc are all pretty easy and I'm definitely no Delia.

Skint - Have you thought about salsa dancing? I'm thinking of going to a class. I really need to do some exercise and the gym bores me, plus one evening a week out is one evening less spent potentially eating

Hope you're feeling a little less 'delicate' eco :D

Hello Yargo  Hope your new lodger works out alright.

Sarahb - You're doing really well, I'm with you on the upping your income bit though. I really need to get ebaying and MBing.

Hope you're having an ace birthday night out Shoe Gal :bdaycake:

Hmm, been busy today...shopping mainly  Bought some beautiful earrings for my friends birthday that secretly I would also quite like myself... can't really justify it at the moment though. Bought myself a jacket. Was a bit more than I would have liked, but I lurve it, I definitely need a jacket, have been looking for a new jacket for ages and I did get £10 off with a voucher :D. Also, it is fairly classic so it should really last me. Gosh, Sarah, I'm getting good at justifying stuff :D .

What was going on tonight? Was I on a different planet or was SCD delayed by the Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying which was rained off anyway??

Me too, I am never going to met my target on my pay alone, I really need to get a plan together, I am not organised enough for matched betting, ebay is too technical...need a nice simple plan.

Grrrr, was most annoying, had just settled down to watch it and the sport was on:mad: SCD is much more important:D

Don't really know anything about it, but what about Avon or something like that?

I think it will. It's stylish, but quite classic and it's lurvely. I have genuinely been looking for a jacket for probably a year and not found anything I like. I don't like spending money on more expensive clothing items like coats/jackets unless I really do love them.

I know! It might not have been quite so bizarre except that it wasn't actually showing the qualifying at all. Just some men stood around (ok, so one was David Coulthard :D) talking about the qualifying and showing the p1ssing rain in Brazil...well worth delaying a popular prime time entertainment programme for. Seemed like an odd decision to me.

oh it was  but the upside is that I now have a clean freezer and kitchen floor! Not sure if the stuff from the freezer is salvagable - would rather chuck it than risk food poisoning but it's all in a cool box just waiting for the freezer to cool down a bit more. Spag bol anyone....:D

NO!!! Have my sensible head on at the moment and just can't justify spending over £100 on boots when I really want to move house. Only wish I had this determination as soon as I became debt free (could have saved a load more money) but better late than never:rolleyes::o.

I've had a look and there's nothing locally but I seem to remember there used to be some classes in Glasgow on a Saturday night - need to check those out. Are there no classes at the gym you might fancy? Body combat or similar? I am happy alone with the treadie and my ipod, but I know that bores the pants off most folk:o:D.
