Thanks honey bun :iloveyou: , goodness knows how I am going to justify this one to Miss Sarah Frugaletta  I do have £100 sat in an ISA & as I really dont get how to use an ISA - have already taken money out so might as well close it I think & 'invest' cash ;).

At the time I opened it I wanted a savings account for things like car tax & mot etc but got talked into an ISA instead which is not at all fit for the purpose

Can I just close it ? I can never now fill it up can I ?

Ugh, how can I be so ignorant :o

Love the boots Lula. I prefer the rounded toes to the more pointy ones. I've got a pair very similar to those and love them :D

I'm so tired today. What is wrong with me?? Eyes hurting just to be open tired. I did wake up quite early though, so paying for it now. Might be time for an afternoon nap.

You can close the ISA. There's a limit with ISA's (currently at £3600 for cash ISA's I think....this is going to increase in April, again I think....) for how much you can save into them in any tax year. Sorry, I'm a bit hazy with ISA's, but basically once you hit the limit with an ISA you can't put any more in that year. So you could have saved £3600 between last April and this, but not more than that. If you had saved £3600 since last April, but took £200 out in December, you can't replace it until this April. You can save £3600 in cash once per tax year. You can't open more than one cash ISA in any financial year, so if you close this one now (assuming you've opened it since April 2009) you can open another one if you want in April. I think they're probably better for longer term savings where you plan to make minimum withdrawals. As with the matched betting info, please somebody correct me if I'm wrong...

  • I dont know about you guys but I absolutely adore the smell of fresh baked bread. I am making a loaf of bread right now, and it is gorgeous.

    Forget shoes.

You make your own bread ? :heartpuls

*Feels faint with admiration & awe *

Have to say though, that my new shoes, boots & bags always smell divine too ;)

Gwen - thanks for the ISA info, really no point in me having it until debt free - have emergency savings in with the funds account.

So, I could leave it open & then fill it up with £3,600 ( as if :rotfl:) between April of this year & End of March 2011 ?

I am about to commit a sin & feel that if I confess first then it kind of negates ( real word ?) the crime.

Faith website, black pair of boots called mork 'reduced' to £90

If you put the £90 to your credit card instead it would be £4910.
