  • Thanks guys. I am looking, but not having much luck. For every job I've applied for there have been over 100 applicants and I've not even had a look in. I think building my freelance work back up is the best option for now, however it's a scary one.

If I sell my car it'll vastly reduce my outgoings and give me just over 3 months worth of bills paid. I just have to find a buyer first *sigh*

I do think I know what I'm going to do, but I'll wait until I've finalised everything with my boss before I share. Don't want her reading it here first!

    This just sucks.

I hope your plans work out well, sending good vibes your way.

Sarah - before you take CD's to charity shop have you checked music magpie? They pay you for CD's, not always much but you basically enter in barcode and they say if they are buying it and for how much. When you're done they send you an address label and you just package up the CD's and send them off and they send you a cheque. Not as much work as ebay and at least you might get something for them.

Day off tomorrow which is fabby! Got a coffee with an old uni mate and a date planned but is snowing again so hope I will not have to do all this wearing the dreaded trainers! Wanted to sort mags for recycling tonight but have done sod all and sat on here instead.

Am reading 'In the Red' (cheapo Amazon purchase) and it's great. Very interesting as she is a Glaswegian too and I can imagine her flitting about in my shop with her Mulberry bag thinking she was the bee's knees!

Thanks make up:A :A:T:THave just checked music magpie, what a fab site:D. It all looks very easy to do:j. I put a the pile of things I had put aside for the charity shop into the site and it came to £15:D. I then realised that there were many other cds and dvds I could suddenly live without :Dand am now up to £35. Not a huge amount but it's still money for stuff I don't need and my shelves are looking a lot tidier. :D I have an alarming amount of things that I spent good money on that are only worth 30p though:(.

If only there was a site that did the same for books, I could make a fortune:).

Good for you! I've ebayed a lot lately and don't have much left to sell as I was away for so long and have very little in the way of 'stuff'. Do need to sort my bookcase though, maybe in the morning.

Wow, fab amount Sarah, I think I was going to do it once but it didn't want quite a few of mine and the ones it did totalled about £1.50. I must do it though, better to get rid for some cash!

Weightloss news: did a weigh today as it is one month since I started and total loss is 12lbs! I've missed both spinning classes this week though :o - one for my grandma's funeral and one because I left too late to book. Will be back on track next week though. Want my weigh in at the beginning of March to be as good!!

    Congratulation makeup!! That's awesome! :j:j

Music magpie is ace, Sarahb. I put a few CD's on there over Christmas and paid in my cheque for ~£6 today. Don't forget they're on quidco though....I did :o

Sorry to hear about your job Bibbity, that's rubbish. I'm currently in limbo-land wondering what is going to happen to my job. It's not very nice.
