Hello gorgeous girlies
eco so glad to hear from you, was about to send out a search party. Sorry to hear of your bad news, hope you're coping ok & if not you know we're all here for you :grouphug: & my pm box open as always.
Bowski - You are absent without leave sweetiehope you're ok lovely ?
Makeup - wow lady :jthat is a F Fabulous achievement for one month :T
bibbitybob - sorry to hear about impending redundancyhope you're new plans work out well for you
Gwen - you will be very amsued to hear that I tried out music magpie - coudnt find them on quidco but they were on top cashback - I was offered 30p for all my cd's , 60p for double albums & £8.98 for one of the wii games. I then checked out ebay & realised that for every one of the cd s I was willing to part with there were shed loads of the same title on ebay. Will hang on to them for now as not desperate to part with them for 30p .
I have been rather unfrugal today, treated myself to the wine glasses I've been waiting to be back in stock & eek do they have a huge capacity :T I've had half a glass & feel rather slaughtered. I also bought some new kitchen scales as the cheapo ones I bought recently are rubbish
; the reading changes depending on where in the bowl I put the ingredients, which might explain my loss of hobnob making mojo.
Bizarrely enough, I think I may have developed some form of a wheat intolerance  I have hardly eaten any bread, cakes, cereals or buscuits for a couple of weeks as I've been trying hard to maintain weight loss. Then yesterday I had a couple of slices of toast for breakfast, & another slice with scrambled eggs & my stomach really ached & puffed up. It's really odd but I think I shall avoid as much as possible for a while to see what happens.
Must go confess my spending sins on my diary but will return ...

Hey ladies I have eaten like a pig today! Just had 2 slices of toasted cheese and 4 choc digestives!!!! Don't know why but I am starving. I am loving Popstar to Operastar and just need to do a bit of bathroom cleaning and iron my bedding and pop it on before heading to bed ready for tomorrow.
No booze tonight but making up for it with food!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Eco - sorry to hear you've had some bad news. I hope things are improving for you. I'm sure some bracing fresh air and lovely scenery will help you.
Lula - I must have the double for your scales, mine are very odd indeed and I never really trust them. My last batch of flapjacks were awful and I have a feeling that the oats were completely outI've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Hi , thought id pop on quickly before i go to pick mum up from my brothers! She made it over here! so that was a releif..although she said it was touch and go.. 18 inches of snow on the ground over there..and the bus skidded several times on the tarmac to get her to the plane!! omg!! i would have been terrified!
So have had a busy week ferrying mum around to see everyone. My brother came and got her yesterday and im about to set off to pick her up now... And she goes back to the airport tomorrow am!! Been a whirlwind week.. am sad that i have to take her back to airport tomorrow!! But at least this time she is gonna be back in May so not too long to wait.
Lodger gave me a months notice to leave yesterday too!! so upset about that.. she said it by text!!!!! and said its to do with her work...SO i can t really get mad or anything ...until i know why..she said its not me though...which is nice... hmmmmm so desperately on search now on easyroommate for a new one..
Hope you are all having a good day, will be back on later on or tomorrow.x

Hello all:)
Yargo, glad your mum arived safely, hope you manage to get another lodger soted soon.
eco, sorry to hear you have had bad news, hope you are okay.
Wow makeup, 12lb in one month:jThat's amazing:j It has taken me 8 months to get to 19lb:o I have just checked and I think I have lost another pound:D but I count it on Sundays so I will check properly tomorrow.
I forgot about my wine delivery and went out and missed it:o. I rang up to cancel and they let me keep the pointsso that's £6 for nothing:) I have decided to stick to the 3 for £10 for now and not place an order for lots of wine unless any huge bargains come up, am keeping my fingers crossed for another M&S cava bargain.
Am in the middle of a big declutter, I went through my wardrobe and there isn't a single thing in there I can throw out just yet:o but am about to go through my baskets of bagged and taggedclothes and see if anything fits so I can move it to the wardrobe which will force me to throw other things out. Anything in the baskets which I no longer want I am going to save to ebay, I am not throwing out anything which could make me some money:D.
I am also going to sort out getting a new phone as my contract has run out and then I am going to sell my current phone along with another two I have lying aound, I need to sort out the music magpie stuff (using quidco, thanks gwen:)) and get it posted and to go through all my bedding and see what can be binned. I will get this place tidy and make some money at the same time!Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Hi all just spotted your thread and would like to join in.
I am single, 42 and have 2k on tesco credit card besides my mortgage and a £550 overdraft that is now overdrawn up to £630.
I work full time have nothing to sell really and am being careful as I have £15 in cas and £30 till the 15th when I get paid.
I have cancelled my mortgage overpayment of £50 and will put it to credit card now plus the £80 I already pay month on it or maybe I should leave it at £80 a month.
I could really do with a chat as my dad is in hospital too and I am stuck in for new next few months, no nights out for me with my friend. Plus I have to save money also going out with my 11 yr old girl when she comes to stay every fortnight.

Hi Tracey and welcome:hello: Sorry to hear about you dad, hope you are okay:grouphug:
Have you done an SOA on the main board? I am no expert in these matters:o but can you put the mortgage overpayment towards reducing your overdraft as I should imagine the charges on that are worse than the cc interest charges?
I would ignore the Tesco card until your overdraft is down to £0 and then try to make overpayments to the cc, trying to deal with lots of debts is difficult, I tend to deal with one and ignore the others apart from the minimum payments until it is gone and then move on to the next one.
I know it's hard when you are feeling down and worried about money but we are a very friendly bunch on here and you will get lots of support if you need a chat or a rant.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Hi yes I did an soa a week ago on the debt board and got help.
So should I just make the minimum payment on my cc, thing is I rely on the cc when I have no money in the bank - vicious circle it is.
My friend keeps asking me to go out and I have to say no, but she has two wages coming in and does not understand I have a daughter too to put first.
My only hobby is my car, its an mx5 and its 16 years old and love modding it up. But that has had to stop too.
My mx5 friends understand.
My colleagues at work are very supportive, my dad has cancer and has just had kidney, bladder and prostrate removed and is ok but in pain. But I am fearing the worst as that type of cancer kills men. Two of his friends died of prostrate cancer. So I guess its time that will tell.Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230 -
