Bowski, I'm sure everything will be fine with your mum. I find PMT always comes hand in hand with terrible anxiety, I get so worried and frightened about everything and then a couple of days later I realise why it was, it gets me every month, you would think I would be used to it by now. It also stops any weightloss in its tracks as well.

    Exactly like me!

I am all woe is me my life is crap everyone hates me I am never going to have sex again, I am a failure, I have no friends etc etc etc

and then a few days later I go "oh" ok. not that crap then.

    so annoying.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha

I used to have horrific period pains and quite heavy, which were relieved by going onto the contraceptive injection but came back as soon as I came off it. I had unbelievable relief when I was eating super-healthily and exercising regularly.

The good news is that the diet for balancing your hormones is much the same as for weight loss:
    - loads of fruit and vegetables (nine portions a day if you can )
    - high fibre/ wholegrain everything (fills you up, sweeps the old hormones out)
    - NO sugar or refined carbs (promotes inflammation, encourages fat around the waist)
    - omega 3 EFAs from fish body oils/ omega eggs/ LesKol cheese (reduce inflammation, cuts fat from the waist).

Most people don't need omega 6 EFAs (Evening Primrose etc.) as we get plenty in our diets. There are certain herbal remedies that may help balance your hormone levels, but food is at least as powerful a drug, and without the risk of side effects. :D
