Single and in Debt Part 3- The problem of surplus and excess women

  • Clarabella, my thoughts would be to keep eating, and as healthly as you can because stress is really hard on your body, and let your weight do its own thing. Try not to worry about it, since you have enough to think about already, and just dont have a wardrobe clear out in case you do end up needing older clothes in a different size.

Really, just be kind to yourself and your body.

    Hope that makes sense xxx

  • Thanks! Its hard but I just simply forget about food when I'm going through these stages- it will get to 4 in the afternoon, and I will start feeling sick, then realise i've not eaten all day, not been hungry so haven't realised. Really weird, actually, considering for months at a time I am hungry CONSTANTLY!
May start setting reminders on my phone.

You're not alone. I go days when I don't get round to eating either. Its not a concious decision. Unfortunately I have a very physically demanding job so weight seems to fall off me very very quickly. I've got into the habit of having a huge breakfast on autopilot as I can just sit and eat it. Then if I don't get round to eating again until later the same day or even breakfast the day after its not quite as major a prblem as not eating at all. Its still not great though. Currently going through a not hungry phase. Have dropped to a size 10 bordering on an 8 which at 5'10" is abysmal.

  • I had a day like that yesterday.. had two pieces of toast, and honestly if my nan hadn't cooked me dinner I probably wouldn't have eaten again that day. I find the easiest way to go about is having things already made up, so cook for a couple of days in advance. I always feel guilty if I have to throw anything out. Throwing little healthy snacks in your bag if your on your way out is another thing.

Not sure if you have them over there but here we have these 'Up and Go' drinks, its like a breakfast drink, flavoured milky type thing but with the nutritional balance of a good breakfast (plus a little sugar..). I find them good if I don't get a chance to eat, they really fill you up

Sorry Clarabella but I'm with Sarah and Shoe Gal, have never forgot to eat in my life! I've been a 6 up to a big 12 and when I get to a stage where I'M not happy with it, I deal with it and go on a diet. Apart from that I dress to suit my shape and I think that's all you can do really.
When my ex left I stopped cooking for myself thinking what's the point just for me but I soon had a chat with myself about that i.e so he's important enough to cook tasty food for but you're not. I think not! Now I cook loads of lovely food and freeze it and I meal plan everything so I always know I have something nice to come home to.

Take care of yourself and remember you are worth looking after X

  • I'm not too sure what to do with this ex of mine.

He really can infuriate me sometimes, but with other things he really seems to be trying. I would get mad at him for not replying to messages, and so now he'll reply to every one of them. But then again I don't really want to know that he can't chat because he's with a mate at midnight.

I wasn't going to get him a christmas present but then he brought it up and he was getting one for me, so I got him this Aston Martin model... I kind of want to keep it for myself, and I certainly don't want him to have it if that 'mate' of his was of the female variety.
