Ebay seller (USA) wants to call the police

I lurk on forums with US Ebay sellers, and I've never heard of anything as labyrinthine as this seller is describing in a PayPal claim. I think he knows she is under emotional stress and is trying to overwhelm her with the alleged complexity of the procedure so she gives up and closes the claim. Nice win for him!
He seems like a complete BSer to me.0 -
I think many of you are jumping the gun a bit here. The guy might be talking nonsense but it seems he has a system (whether his or paypal I know not).
We have paypal in two countries involved and I can only assume that although the system is probably very similar there will be slight differences in how it is handled in the UK and the US.
With the current hassle over here with postal strikes in the UK I would have made a polite enquiry with the seller and not done anything until a month had passed.
But hey ho too late now.
It started off as a polite enquiry from me when the ornament hadn't shown up after 3 weeks and there was no update from the shipping number. The sellers replies became more aggresive and insane as the day went on.Thank you to everyone that posts the competitions and answers :A0 -

Found this on google http://www.usps.com/insuranceclaims/intlclaims.htm
"The International Inquiry Center will correspond with the post in the foreign country."
So why they think they need the name of the manager of the local sorting office is beyond me
I'm gonna let paypal do their stuff and put it out my mind for now.
Here's for a relaxing weekend :beer:Thank you to everyone that posts the competitions and answers :A0 -
The seller sounds nuts leave it to paypal if you sell block them as well.0

Just an anecdote over the USPS.
A friend once sent me a small package. It eventually arrived ..... over 2 years later!!
There was no sign of the package ever being opened etc, and had been written off by us long ago.
Since then, I always send everything fully tracked. I guess I'm just saying that sometimes things do get stuck.0
