What will happen next? Will Paypal refund me? Or will the seller have to send me a replacement item?
They are not a private seller, they have a shop.Thank you to everyone that posts the competitions and answers :A0 -
Personally I would now escalate this dispute to a claim, no point in any further messing around, the seller is just being a complete tw*t.0

OP the only time the police will come knocking on your door and treat you other than as a witness is if the seller can prove delivery to your addresss. In that case you will have lost any paypal claim anyhow.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The police will 100% not get involved in this. It is entirely a civil matter, one party in a foreign country claiming an items they sent has not been received.0 -

B***ocks!! This would be a civil matter anyway - no way would the police get involved. The police only get involved if the situation is a clear fraud and there is plenty of evidence of this. Given the huge cost to the CPS of pursuing such cases this would only be done if the value of the fraud is considerable and the evidence incontrovertible. And if the complaint is from overseas there is even less chance of police involvement.0 -

The UK police wouldn't get involved in what is a cross border civil matter.Terms & Conditions Apply0 -
At the end of the day if you had oif recieved a parcel, I assuming that it would of required a signature therefore no signature from you, no parcel.
Shes being a bully, escalate it to a full claim (sorry can't think of the proper wording, has been used earlier), and also point out that she is using threatening and bullying tatics to paypal and ebay if necessary.
Good luck xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Definately escalate to a claim right now. The seller will have a number of days to provide online proof that you signed for the item.
Once you escalate they will no longer be able to write any more junk for you to read on paypal. What they have written so far is of no consequence to payapl, and the first stage of a dispute is never read by humans it is an electronic system.
If they write any emails just keep them but try not to take any notice. They will get sillier the more desparate they get.0 -
I've now been sent this through ebay
"what was the persons name at the post office then that you spoke with that is familiar with this case. The police report needs a contact person. Here in USA we have a postmaster that is the manager of each particulat post office. That is what i need. Same with your customs department . We need the persons name that you spoke with in order to file the report.
john"
I have no idea who John is, I was dealing with a seller called Shirley yesterday.
All this for a $25 ornament
I should ignore this email and go straight to claim right?Thank you to everyone that posts the competitions and answers :A0
