Just ignore him and go for a claim, stop worrying about it. The seller is talking nonsense.

You don't report things missing at post offices in the UK , we deal direct with delivery offices and RM not shop counter staff. He's trying to frighten you, so frighten him back and ignore any more rubbish.

I think it's high time you opened a dispute if you haven't yet, but try this too if you haven't: track the parcel on the PARCELFORCE site.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • I've upped it to a claim now.

I was feeling tempted to drop it because I don't need the hassle right now but I can't let a bully win.

Thank you to everybody that has been helpful :)

Good for you, I know sometimes it feels like its not worth the hassles, but the principal is the same it could be a 25$ purchase or equally next time a £250 one.
They're trying to bully you, ignore the emails, if they are direct from that persons email address, then hit the spam button, then at least you wont have to deal with it.
Once paypal get a person involved - let them take the strain for you xx

    Hi there :)

I think I wanted to run away from the hassle because of the nature of the item. It's an ornament for my son's grave. I'm already stressed as hell but I know I can't give into bullying.

I'm pretty shocked by the seller, they have good feedback of over 5,000,

The thing is sometimes its easier to give in, but it lets them win, it does take a few days for Paypal to go through the situation, they go to the seller, ask for their side, then come back to you, but generally as their is no proof that you signed its a oe sided argument.

Its sods law, its most proberly got lost on route and instead of the seller holding their hands up and saying sorry, we're send another, they just digging their heels in.

You shouldn't be put under the stress, but some people don't play the game unfortuntaley.

  • He's now sent me this directl to my email account (not through Ebay or Paypal)

    Hi,

Before i begin to explain what will happen next , I would like to inform you to NOT discard any of the email conversations. The emails that you have send thru ebay are saved in your my ebay. However the ones like this one and others responces outside of ebay are not saved there.

That also holds true to conversations thru paypal.

I see that you had escualted the claim. You will now have to provide this information to paypal (instead of me) and then paypal will transfer the information to me. Unfortunatly this process will now take longer for me to process.

There are more steps to take in order to the process your claim now. Just to let you know this will probably take 2-3 weeks longer to reslove.

As i stated before we use stamps.com for our shipping. We do get delivery confiramtion for 1st class international packages but that usually take 1 week after they have been delivered or undelivered. Also Stamps.com allows the package to be delivered back to us if undelievered. which will happen if the package is not delivered.

Unfortunatly you will still have to provide all the information that is needed to file a lost package report thru paypal instead of me. Paypal is going to need the contact persons name at customs that you spoke with and the person you spoke with at your post.

Once they have received that information they will foward that to me in an email.

I was prepared today to file the claim with the police department as soon as you gave me that information. Unfortunaly i will have to wait until paypal to give me that information.

Once that is recieved i will still file the report and then notify paypal of the police report.

We will send you copies of it in a seperate email outside of paypal. We will have to scan it into our computer and send a copy to paypal and i will aslo send you a copy of it as welll for your records.

I hope I have clearly explained the claim process with paypal once it has been esculated. If you are unclear of this process you may contact paypal directly and they can better explain the process to you.

At the time i am writing this it is 2:40 pm on friday. The report needs to be filed between 7am -4pm mon -Fri. So please be patient.

Just to let you know that i can not do anymore for you until that information is recevied from paypal. We both have to sit and wait until that information is provided.
