Have done my bits for the day, just wondering what else I can cook that mum showed me how to (love cooking, so does my mum, both Taureans so that might be why)

Hi everyone. Not posted much today - it's been a busy day and I've been a bit grumpy because I can't get warm. After a cold start here, it's been lovely and sunny and DH (wandering around in short sleeves, while I have a jumper and a cardi on) keeps telling me it's warm, but I keep shivering. Hopefully, it won't last.

Pippa - just want to send special ((((hugs))) to you and your family at a very sad time for you all.

(((Hugs))), too, to all those with sadness or anxiety in their lives. I wish we could all be blissfully happy.

NPM - your new wedding plans sound great, so well done for sorting out a less expensive wedding. It's who you marry not what the wedding costs that really matters, after all! You'll have just as good a day as if you'd spent thousands on it.

Welcome to all the newbies - you've found such a lovely bunch of people here.

Well, despite feeling slightly under the weather, I've been food shopping and portioned up three lots of mince, some sausages and some stewing lamb, and I've also jointed a chicken which is now portioned into legs, breast and wings (I'm collecting wings until I have enough for a meal!), and the carcass still has loads of meat on it for tomorrow's casserole. Tomorrow, I'll also make some onion soup - real French onion soup, of course, because the onions are French; I bought a huge bag for next to nothing so I should be able to make loads of portions. Tonight, we are having spaghetti bolognaise at DH's request, so that suits me because it's such an easy meal.

Anyway, DH has lost the hinges he found earlier because he forgot where he put them, so I'd better go and look for them.

Hi all, late on today, been clearing a load of old stuff from DHs storage place. Its been there years, since we last moved so I took the chance to do a bit of sorting as Dh was working there this morning.A fair bit is household stuff,so I've brought it home to wash and pass onto charity shops.Found a box of old papers and photos too,so been looking at those, and then shredding some.Consequently I feel very grubby,so I am going to have a shower in a moment-we're meeting our friends later for a meal at the pub,so no OSiness here tonight.

Felt a bit down yesterday as I met my Aunty in town and she has been diagnosed with cancer, and is going into hospital in a couple of weeks for radiotherapy. She was such a help to me when my DDad had lung cancer and now she's got it herself. She seems OK and is being positive about it so that can only be a good thing.

Sorry to hear of others with bad news ,BB-still thinking of you, and Curlytop and your poor friend, and Divas friend.

NPM- your new wedding plans sound great, and will give you something to look forward to.
    Halight-hope you are doing ok.

Right ,better go and get ready.Have a pleasant evening everyone.x
