Thatched, nice to look at but you need bottomless pockets to keep on top of it for the next 40 years.
Output - LIR. That's what it is, it just comes out, I like spouting off. Enjoyed my toilet wind up. A red letter day.
Goodbye thread. Completely deleted. Not even put in the Moneysavers. Perhaps mentioning people who have been PPR'd is the problem. Although amistupids sex thread was also deleted yesterday.0 -
I hope to pay cash for a house.
One thing on this site that always makes me laugh is the smug people that say "we saved up and paid our mortgage off in 10 years".... so that's 2 of them, then you find out their mortgage was actually £35k.0 -
Yellow one, with beams
Built in 1600s as three cottages, now it's one big house
Nice shaped front door there.
Bet it's draughty as fook
Village of Marsworth.
Poky kitchen
OIRO £700k
That's a big fail then for them. Phil is finder fail.0 -
Big cream jobby. Nice porch. Over 3 floors (into roof)Bit shabby if you look closely.
Chartridge £1,000,000 (negotiable)
Looks a mis match of styles and budgets. There's something just not quite right about it. Can't put my finger on it, but it's been done up by the wrong person.0 -

We hope to get filthiliy disgustingly and bear baitingly in debt, the kind of debt that will take us the full 25, or even thirty year term of a mortage to repay, leaving us sightly gaunt and prematurely grey, but with lots and lots of room.0 -

Afraid I only watch it on 4od after the kids are asleep. I've never bothered shelling out for a card for my Sky box, so I'll have to wait until it comes onto 4od, which is usually not for a little while after the programme airs. Happy to discuss it with you tomorrow if you like, though.lostinrates wrote: »LOL. Good gal.
Thanks
I got the box and dish second hand too. Very MSE
[For those that don't know, a Sky box will get almost all the free channels (but not channel 4 and related ones) without a Sky card. You can get the BBC and ITV ones without any card at all, and Five with any card of any kind - it just has to be credit card shaped, with no readable data needed. A 10 year old student union card will do, for example.]
ETA It came on 4od quite quickly so I've watched it now. Agree with most of what people have said - lovely moment when Andrew & Emma heard they'd got the house, woman in green jacket annoying, etc. Afraid I didn't notice the Argos wardrobes, though. Did anyone pick up when it was filmed? Andrew & Emma's decision to rent because of the state of the market was interesting.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Love the homesick telly.
I'm not as tight as I sound. I might be able to fix the TV myself, but I'm not bothered while there is still slashing & burning to be done.
Besides, if I keep DW slightly bored, she will go out and do more networking. She's already in the ladies' skittles team, keep fit and now checking out the WI gardening club. We have the distinction of being excommunicated from one branch of the WI:o, but I doubt that they have a database of blacklisted former members.....0 -
OK I've watched it now.
We moved in 2006, it could have been my wish list, my price range, next county over.
