He's in the army and she's a nanny; that can't be far away from the average FTBs.
Live in Nannies £300-375/week, so say £18k/year (all free cash as no living expenses)

I don't know anything about the army, or specialisms, but army pay scales are here:
http://www.armedforces.co.uk/armypayscales.htm0 -
So she's on 18k, but nannies wages are paid net not gross for some strange reason, so 18k net is about 22.5k gross.
Looking at those payscales I would guess he's on 23-27k.
Average for FTBs, though may be more than national average.
Joint salary 45-50k, as they both have had live-in jobs they should have been able to save for a while. 3.5 x 50= 175k mortgage + their deposit.

Sorry, never see it, and especially not tonight. Big meal at 8pm. Full roast with the Outlaws, after having the new secondhand oven installed.
When we moved in, we discovered the oven was caput, so it has been almost 2 months of pan meals, microwave curries and the odd barbecue. This place would never feature on LLL except as a warning to the unwary.:rotfl:
Oh, the TV aerial doesn't seem to work either. They went digital here a week or two before we arrived. Anyway, we also have a dish and Sky, so we get something, but they didn't leave the remote: changng channels is a nightmare. Oddly, we are still getting our 'old' local news instead of the Devon one. It's as if the TV is feeling homesick.:rolleyes:0 -
what kind of bear are you...a house and SKY!
Love the homesick telly.
I dodn't rally expect you to watch LLL. Pastures, silvercar and LydiaJ though....where are they?0 -
Just put this on C4+1, thanks for reminding me. :xHawt gal :heartpuls0

Why do they only show millionaires buying houses on this programme? They must have over a million pounds if they have a 625k pound budget? I can't remember seeing normal people buying houses on this programme?Hawt gal :heartpuls0

Honestly, some people. That couple were just awful. She was scheming and he was just clueless. It's like property means so much to them, and yet surely their relationship has something else to offer? Phil and Krusty I think their names were.
Lir - will this do? I didn't get around to watching it.0 -

Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
