I bet that one's damp. It looks like it could be trouble.

All that wood ... in a house that old it's probably covering up trouble.

If I were a millionaire, much as mewbie might get cross with me, we'd probably buy a house for more than a million, adding what we can borrow now to the million....but thats just us. :)
I think you would be wise to ignore my output, millionaire or not.

    Bledlow Ridge now
    Nice.
Kitchen looks a bit "inside" though from the first flash view around.
    £895,000

I'd bang a conservatory leading to an open sided verandah along that back though

I like the idea of House -into- conservatory -out to- covered verandah
Bit of everything all just 2 paces away.

I'd not buy it though. I need something the size of a garage.

But then who would make me laugh?

what is it with you and ''output'' and wher did the goodbye thread go. :( I was hoping it might lure Cat out.

I only really liked the one house this week, the one with the barns.
  • Why a deposit of 30-50k?

People reach the amounts they need in different ways. e.g our deposit is more than 50k, DH's salary this year is lower than 50k. Perhaps one of their parents died leaving somthing to boost adeposit?

(not that my eyes didn't water at the prices for those houses, especially the more expensive house that was bought....I don't really ''get that''.)

a million pounds on a house  ! There must be a limit to how much happyness a house can bring. I'd be happy with a little garden one day when I've saved up enough. I'm saving over 300 pounds a month at the moment, its hard but I know it will be worth it when I have a few thousand and a deposit!! I may meet that king in the mean time thought hey :p

Thatched, nice to look at but you need bottomless pockets to keep on top of it for the next 40 years.

:) I think the happyness is complicated bathroom to bedroom ratio.

Actually, I'm in a slightly ifferent ballgame to most pople on here: my purchase might also be my income..and its not really a big house I'm after. :) That's part of what I mean though: how rich you are or are not does not necessarily corelate with what or how you buy. A common misconception. Big house might not mean rich: it might mean serious debtor. If I buy for income we can borrow more than if we buy for home. Which would be richer is not straightforward.
