Definitely worth a 10 minute trip in the car.....

Or place the order over the phone and get the vouchers through the post.

My purchase was for a laptop that was only available online, otherwise I would have chosen to go to the store. I think I will email Argos about this one though as I do feel it is unfair. I also think their delivery charge of £5.80 is steep compared to other stores - but that's another story!

Good Luck with that email, i did this last yr or the yr before. I ordered online thinking they would send me a voucher ( as they had done in the past) So when i recieved an online voucher i was pretty cross. When I called to complain was basically told tough luck, it's something for nothing.

oh and the best bit was the argos store i used yesterday wasn't accepting or issuing gift vouchers!!!!!!! Apprently it was a major problem in several stores. I did enquire before purchase that i would still beable to get my vouchers which they confirmed. I aslo had to check I could collect them at any store not just the store where my orginal purchase was made ( Purchase made a far distance from home) So I visited local store tonight to collect mine!!!

There was unfortunately a nationwide failure of the stores' gift card network at the time, but as you have pointed out anyone who didn't get their vouchers can go to a store and claim them now.

I too had to order my item online but did not get my online vouchers at all - is the problem the same as above please?

More than likely, I would ring Argos Direct (0845 640 2020) with your order number and just ask about it.

Yes I did manage to get them but it was an extra journey to local store to claim them. Also I'd reserved two items at the non local store, one orginal purchase to get the vouchers ( very very limited stock as it's a clearance item) plus the second one to buy with the voucher, which non of my local stores currently have in stock. So am hoping one of the local stores gets stock before my voucher expires, but they should do as it's a popular item, just means another trip to get the voucher...

edited to add ..... not complaining cos it is afterall something for nothing, but just wish it was bit easier.
