Hi there,
would like to say that I am unhappy about these vouchers.....I have to buy my item online and then I can only redeem the vouchers that I will be given online again. How does that give me any advantage?
Well, if you order online during the redemption period, you get £5/£10 off the total price so you don't have to pay so much.
If you don't, then you've lost nothing.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
well tbh I was quite impressed with this from Argos, I bought my son's main xmas present yesterday which cost £99.99 and my daughter a present aswell to take it over the £100 spend to get the £20 vouchers.
I also had £15 on my nectar card I wanted to use but wasn't sure if I would still get the vouchers as the total would only come to £98 with using my nectar card, however they checked and said I would still get the £20 vouchers. :T
£10 to be used by end Oct and £10 in Nov which is great with xmas coming up so I can use them for xmas presents. I personally think its a great deal.Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -
I remember when i worked for argos three years ago as xmas temp - they had the spend 50 get 5 pound voucher and people spending over a hundred were furious to find they still only got 5 pounds. jeez - the abuse we till persons got! staff (who shall forevermore be nameless used to go up to people queing at tills and let them quietly know if they could to split transactions into 50 pounds worths!0

I've just been given 2 x £10 to spend. However my qualifying purchase was made online. Which means I have to spend the vouchers online too. I've not got a problem with the two different date periods when you have to spend them but I just feel that I am not getting the same deal as anyone who bought in store. My voucher in real terms is only worth £4.20! I know it's better than nothing but why treat online customers differently than those that shop in the store. I'd be happy to go and spend my voucher in a store, but I cannot due to the T&Cs. An unfair deal in that respect I feel.0

Those who buy instore can't use the vouchers online if they wanted to though, its not as if they are getting the option to use both methods are buying and online customers are not. Surely it makes sense that they give you vouchers for the original method you used to purchase the items.0 -
I needed to order a small freezer, so I went to the shop to do it, and came away with the two £10 vouchers in my hand. If I'd ordered online, I would have had to use the vouchers online, and after paying £5.80 would only have been able to choose free goods to the value of £4.20.
Definitely worth a 10 minute trip in the car.....0 -
what on earth are you complaining about? A shop giving you free vouchers? so you bought online and got online vouchers - argos assume you will buy more online. you bought in shop and got shop vouchers again argos assume you prefer to shop in reality? you are getting money off vouchers!! what more do you want? email argos and ask for the vouchers to be transferable online or in store. if enough shoppers do that argos may take notice. but they dont have to! its their offer!0

I dont agree with the online voucher deal policy. Certain items are online only so need to be purchased online. The chances of someone wanting to buy 3 things from argos online at diffrent dates are low. To be forced to pay postage each time you want to use a voucher defeats the purpose.0 -
My purchase was for a laptop that was only available online, otherwise I would have chosen to go to the store. I think I will email Argos about this one though as I do feel it is unfair. I also think their delivery charge of £5.80 is steep compared to other stores - but that's another story!0

ok wallis you took advantage of an online offer on laptops - obviously it was cheapest online or you would have gone elsewhere wouldnt you? and not got any vouchers off further purchases? and a delivery charge of £5.80 oh my - havent you seen postage charges lately? if you had it sent through royal mail I think it would be about that if not more! on a tv shopping channel I recently saw a charge for one CD_ROM of £2.95! I think a laptop weighs a good bit more than that. Argos usually have some sort of voucher deal going now - but I have noticed that the terms and conditions vary from time to time. could this be due to feedback from customers? let argos know how you feel.
tbh I am usually happy to get money off vouchers - if i choose not to use them its up to me - but if i cant - I pass them on to someone who can!0
