I don't think it will have a BIG impact - but, even if its small it could still be significant to make them re-assess things.
I did a just over £40 Waitrose 'shop' last night and today, all I bought in Tesco was 4 bottles of Domestos (on offer at 2 for £1.50 and I used 4 x 35p coupons for Domestos so paid 40p per bottle). I even went out of my way to Asda to get my DH's magazine cos I didn't want to give Tesco the business (all of £1.70 - how sad am I?). I would normally go in again tomorrow and possibly Monday or Tuesday for milk, bread, fruit and veg and maybe a couple of goodies to put away for Christmas. It may only be £50/£60 but, by the end of the week Tesco will probably have lost around £90-£100 from me alone - and if 9 other people do the same my local store will be £1000 down. It will all add up if we stick to our boycott.
I'm still praying for Morrisons or Asda to start taking 5 coupons per shop - Tesco won't know whats hit them!
good point!!! i used about £200 per week in there beforehand, so thats a big loss from me, and most of my friends and the staff at my local are boycotting too, they spent up to and higher than this amount, so my local will lose a lot from us few alone, without the extras.Won't buy nuffink without a discount0 -

i was thinking that too, i read the article this morning. but realistically (broken record saying it again...yawn) why didn't they just ban the pedigree coupons as soon as they realised it was happening, like they did with Mitchum, OK mag coupons, etc? would have been simple enough to do without much fuss. or they could have emailed all the stores to stop them being taken just like they did with the policy change. seems very drastic to me.
Anyone remember the 6 quid airwick one that fell foul to a ton of abuse last year? well that one wasn't banned for months and months after it first came out, i mean like six months, and eventually it was banned. they didn't end the policy then did they? hmmm.....Won't buy nuffink without a discount0 -
I don't get it......
Ive always shopped at Tesco and it is way cheaper for me than Asda/Morrisons/Waitrose (obviously). I guess not Aldi or Lidl but I don't understand why ppl keep saying its the most expensive supermarket.....
Can someone please enlighten me....I reguarly check the price comparison site but Tesco always comes out on top for me.
:eek::eek::eek:
i don't mean to sound like a sarcastic cowbag, if its possible to implement intonation when typing but...have you been to asda recently?Won't buy nuffink without a discount0 -

I assume it means they will remove the points for the item you have returned
I believe that getting points for your shopping when you have used coupons is also a big factor, especially at the minute with double points on too.0 -
I feel quite lucky as I was able to use my vouchers today, this was in an Extra store in North Wales, there was no signs up at the checkouts or at customer service. I only went there as it is my closest supermarket to the small village I live in.
I used the £5 off £30 at Waitrose, £5 Tesco vouchers, £4 in Luncheon vouchers and about £4 internet vouchers, the lad on the checkout happily took them all without batting an eyelid. Hopefully this will continue or maybe the change will happen on Monday.
On another note I found a couple of receipts with 350 points and 90 points I`m wrestling with my concients (sp) whether to claim them or not:o0 -
