Instead of boycotting Tesco we should all go pick our shopping hand over the coupons and if they refuse the 10% they have always taken,we should leave the shopping there for themtoput back. lol
Seriously though I could cry at losing that extra bit of money each week to buy essentials.Barclaycard 3800
Nothing to do but hibernate till spring

Went to our T's today and no MOCS were accepted not even the Waitrose conditional spend one. SA who has served us before and took all our MOCS called over someone more senior and she said theyve stopped taking them as of last night but to keep trying as 'they will probably change their minds next week'
Ah well it was good while it lasted I guess. Im just glad I managed to save a few £s over the past few months.
I certainly wont be crying over this - I think some reactions by some are OTT - yeah we all like to save a few £s but all good things come to an end
Why conditional spend - that is something differerent entirely - Tesco don't get any money back for these.0 -

My smallish weekend 'shop' last night only came to a little over £40 (cupboards still pretty full from the good times) - but it wasn't done in Tesco! Any coupons I would have used were all legit manufacturers ones so Tesco WOULD have got their money back. I won't be doing any shopping in Tesco - unless they have any 'too good to miss deals' during the suggested 4 week trial and, if most couponers stick to their guns and shop elsewhere, each individual store will almost certainly notice a small drop in sales. It might just be significant enough to make Tesco re-think - especially if Sainsbury do what they have mentioned in the press this week re issuing millions of coupons.
I think as well as voting with our feet from T's stores, those of us who also buy our fuel there should also fill up elsewhere, I filled up in Morrisons today - at least I can get points on my Morrisons miles card and get the occasional £5 back:D0 -
Does anybody know what the internet coupon policy for the waitrose store in Newark is:beer:
Many thanks
If anybody does know, please don't quote it on here. If you do, the world and his mother will be in the store creating loads of queues and hassle for the manager. What will he do? - change the store policy and spoil it for everyone. Please just go in the shop and ask, and have a look round, checking the shelves for moc matches. Tell them you've not shopped in here before but it looks really nice - they want your custom!!Ageing is inevitable - maturing is optional0 -
Am gutted about this, absolutely gutted. The few ££££ saved each week made a big difference to our budget, as it did to a lot of people'sYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

I think there were many reasons for this policy change:
1. media coverage as stated in the last few weeks as stated
2. people buying £80 shops for pennies
3. fraud - photocopies of coupons
4. people registering at websites under different names and printing/ordering the same coupons
5. each family member individually coming to shop in Tesco's by coupons
6. tesco staff abusing coupon spends between themselves
7. multiple shops by the same people on the same day
8. criminal gangs operating at Tesco's stores
9. Manufacturer power (magazine companies, king of shaves, dishwasher tablets etc suffering big time) / legal implications as a result
10. Tesco's not getting paid by certain manufacterers
I think all these were factors in the policy changing .... but it may only be for 4 weeks from what I have read here!
Best to shop elsewhere!
Vote with your money.
Shop in aldi's, Lidl, Home and Bargains etc - their prices are far cheaper than Tesco's to begin with! Morrisons also have so many offers on - you will be surprised. Buying what is actually necesary rather than luxurious spends (paid previously by coupons) will I'm sure help everybody!0 -

Wise words Hilly. We've done this in our house, it doesn't take long to write a list and check the shelves and you only need do it once.
But if anyone finds any lovely new mocs don't forget to post those on here.0 -
